California has a lot of good players so I can see why there might be some trouble, but the decision to exclude Mike Ross from the SoCal team is laughable.
Let me see if I can speak for most people in this thread, in my honest opinion (and I’m sure others)
Mike Ross is BETTER than Alex Valle, as in more likely to win. More capable, a thoroughly BETTER PLAYER IN SF4
I don’t understand how the results in other sf games even matter. The games are similar, that’s all. Mike Ross is still better at SF4 than Alex Valle.
That’s why his exclusion on the team is crazy. Aside from Gootecks he might even be the best player on the socal team.

LOL @ everyone on Valle’s ass. The man is a fucking legend and has been made captain for a reason, plus the event is months away and changes could be made. Even funnier is people not from the California region telling native Cali players who they should pick based off of what? A few Youtubes and tournament result threads? Get outta here with that shit. Plus it’s only an exhibition anyway. I’m sure Mike Ross or whoever else would rather place well in the actual event rather than worrying about this.

Just wondering, where exactly does the Central Valley(CA) fit into this?
Are they North or South? And if SoCal/NorCal had qualifiers for spots, would we be able to attend and compete for a spot at whichever location we choose?
I’m still not too sure what areas constitute NorCal, so pardon me if this is all basic knowledge. 
totally agree. the easy way to tell who is best is to just take off your pants, watch youtube of each of the players (not against each other), and see who you get harder for.

25 ppl in a basket ball court, the 2 best players are voted to be captain because if they get in the same team all others would lose. each of them pick one by one who they want in the team. the ones who didnt get picked stay on the side and watch. now that is what went down and that would be ok if it was a CASUAL EVENT
organized ball teams in the same division play each other part of the year in what they call a season. with those winnings they pick the top teams to be in the playoffs. so it would be ok if micheal jorden is 1/32 coach, 1/2 owner, or 3/4 captain of a team. that team should be in the playoffs cause hes a legend… ok got you
i met cali power and he is a cool person in my book. i voice my opinion in this situation only because i have the liberty to do so. this is only showing concern for the region and his choice not his character. the most fair thing to do is play it out. its more than mike ross

This is a good idea (albeit illegal), all of the gut jiggling would simply be hypnotic and anyone not used to that much of it at once would end up being in a trance.
