For something as serious as this I expect it would start earlier. If you’re that dedicated you can get there on time, right now we just kinda start it up casually and let it go late. For people that work nights, I guess Cole can announce the date a month in advance or so and they can get the day off.
All the drama and counterproductive stuff aside, it’s good that this thread generated this much interest. Not since maybe the early Marvel days have I seen such a great amount of competition. This is very encouraging to see. I think we’re gonna be fine regardless of who makes this team because of the format Cole’s using to form this team. So whoever does make it is gonna put the NW on the map without a doubt.
Also for those of you that may not have been keeping track here’s some interesting tidbits…
and…
I’m kinda surprised Mike Ross isn’t on the SoCal team heh. Interesting lineups nonetheless.
Do you know if they actually did qualifiers/“ranking battles” or if it was a popularity contest? I’m surprised they finalized the team so early.
Doubtful.
But really it has nothing to do with us. Justin Wong can run his team however he wants. If they want to just fill their teams up with big names, that’s their call.
Cole is taking a different approach. He can run the team however he sees fit.
July is a long way out. Teams can change.
It has to be notably early if it’s at Zach’s. Everything ends up going so late there I don’t know how anyone can play their top game. I can’t ever give my 100% because I wake up at five in the morning and the shit doesn’t start 'til like ten at night. I know someone already said that, just wanted to reiterate.
:amazed::amazed:
you know what dan? how about I MONEY MATCH YOU. ft-5 or 10 for 100 bucks. you should be able to beat me no problem and ima practice up real tuff until then but whenever you wanna come down lets get this goin. my only thing is i want you to run through a gauntlet too just like daigo. seems like you got the skills so put that shit to the test. no easy bracket nigga, strictly seattle elite maybe like ft-5 or 2/3 but maybe you could just do that and earn a spot on the evo team huh? 100 bucks american is like 128 canadian right now isnt it? im sure our elite would throw in some cash to money match you too so hopefully thats worth your time. you pick the date and i’ll see if we can get the elite to come face you. oh and itd be nice if you could bring me some goldilocks on the way down cuz im filipino and goldilocks is our shiiiiiiiiiiiiit

I gotta step in here - I’ve got some fuckin’ fire in canada before.
oh canada’s got some bud too. but ours is better
Just throwing this out there, but wouldn’t Portland’s random select tournament be a good place to decide this? NWM is after evo so that would not work. Setting a date and time for this would make things straight forward.
It could work, but people might say its not close enough to Evo as people will continue to improve.
Is it round robin or tourney? If it’s tourney, the first event could establish seeding for the 2nd…
Cole hasn’t announced the details yet, but that is a really good idea if it does end up needing to be a seeded event.
man just saw the evo thread, everything is mad hype. New SF = More Hate, More Hype.
Back to the lab for me.
I was thinking of logistics, RS would be a good place to at least get the ball rolling on finalizing the team. There is only a 1.5 months between RS an evo right?
Do you have the
tools
dedication
inspiration
to become the next SF champion?
