NorCal team did what they could with the funky match-ups and you went absolutely nuts on your run. Regardless of what happened, everyone is super proud. I think it’s safe to say that a ton of us have been inspired to make sure that we make up for it next year in spades.
Crack is our hero. Next year we will be back with a vengeance. Seeing our region’s unity was really something…I think the rest of the room thought we were really all crackheads

To say hype directly keeps a scene alive is a little far fetched. I would say the love or dedication of the community keeps the scene alive not so much the hype.
I’m not trying to be a sour grape but just trying to be realistic. If you look at some of the predictions prior to the 5v5, people had Norcal winning the thing or being top 2.
I think the question you should be asking is…what would have been more memorable, NORCAL winning the 5v5 or the Norcal hype? I say winning the 5v5, because we always bring the hype.
Maybe I am just too critical, I really thought we would do better. The hype was dope but don’t let it distract from what we need to improve on. That is all I am saying.

You know, deep down, everyone sort of shares the frustration. For me, personally, it’s more disappointment with myself. After it was all said and done, I didn’t think “Oh man, NorCal sucks!” because I know we don’t. Hell no. Everyone did their best and Crack is a god damned Superman. I was watching the entire time and thinking to myself, if I were a better player … like a real fucking good player, I could be helping out somehow.
I say, for everyone who’s frustrated or whatever with the results … Don’t talk smack or be down. Step up your game so that the rest of us can step up ours. All the regions are practically equals at this point and if you’re serious, you can’t afford to slack off.
We just have to step it up as a region and make sure that bull match-ups or no, it won’t happen again
