good shit you guys, crack put up a great fight…just a little a disappointed our “top” players laid a goose egg when it counted.
We mobbed the front floor basically. Despite all face palming when some of our best were losing… Mr. CrackFiend himself comes and raised our spirit again… it was freakin’ hype! We were chanting … we love crack, we love crack… oCv … it came all the way to the bottom of the 9th… akuma gets knocked down and rog was standing next to him… then bam wake up super… eff that shit!

for those who couldn’t tell what happened crack was beasting everyone with clutch grabs. at the very end he went for a grab and akuma wake up ultra hit him during animation. Nor Cal was too hype for the event. I heard it was crazy quiet after we all left.
It’s true that “War isn’t fair.” But rumor has it that Team SW looked at Team NorCal’s team setup before they registered theirs. If you notice, each of NorCal’s fights is a direct counterpick(bad matchup) for us. We’re still supposed to be able to beat anything that comes to us, but dayam… I’m writing up something on iPlayWinner. Stay posted.
I’m sure this will put a big smile on Crackfiend’s face. While he was still “heavily buzzed” after the fight he said something about "I wonder how the guys at home who didn’t come to Evo felt about it.
I’d like to say that NorCal just fucking rallied together. The shit was X-plosive. Crack mentions that a lot of players from other regions just do it for themselves. Win or lose, NorCal had that unity. NorCal walked out TOGETHER. I think a lot of players here realize that our players can’t do this on their own, so we help each other level up our game. I believe that everybody is proud of Crackfiend not only for how he played, but for what he’s done for the Street Fighter community.
Ain’t no hype like NorCal hype. We make it exciting. Look at that, we didn’t even give a fuck about the results once we left!
I did notice that the matchups were definitely not in our favor but Choi and Ricky definitely should have came through. We have one of the strongest teams on paper…
Just a random note…seems like if you want to be good at sf4 you better master a couple of characters to counter pick because it seemed like a majority was pulling that strategy.

Lost to Southwest in the first round with a whole bunch of unlucky matchups in their favor. If you’re talking singles, Ricky made it to top 8.
Everyone on the NorCal team put up a good fight and we can at least be proud that the team was organized extremely well. No one just walked onto that list. They all went through a gauntlet one way or another.
Some of the match ups just didn’t fall in our favor, but “that’s Street Fighter yo”. Props to Southwest.
As for Crack, that was the shit. We may have lost, but this guy pulled some amazing ass shit off. I haven’t seen the other matches, but I wouldn’t be surprised if his almost-OCV was the craziest shit of the night.
Finally, props to everyone in NorCal. We may need to up our game for next year, but we made ourselves fucking heard in the crowd. It’s great to see us all come together as a community like that. Shit was hype as hell…and someone stomped on my fucking pizza!!! That’s how hype we were…[media=youtube]5Cg9WE6jwaI"[/media] during “OCV!”.
Good shit Norcal team! Especially Crackfiend, I really wanted to see you pull off that OCV. MY favorite match in that bout was you against Buktooth. I was on the edge of my seat during that match.

The team tournament was so hype, it was amazing to see all the norcal players start cheering like we did! It was dissapointing to see us lose, but at the same time all of us were in awe of crack’s comeback. We love crack!
