just get all the top players who choi who thinks has potential on the team and just have them battle to their deaths ^_-
Kawaii desu ne, Crack-chan?
ROFL.
That’s a 4th of July joke for all of us right?
If it is… good one!
-RAM
Put ryans sim in front of a sagat and he can make that character seem really useless.
That’s your thought not John’s.
Jay, i don’t know what the deal is…
You clearly aren’t educated about the matchup!!!
Dhalsim vs Sagat is 50/50…
Everyone knows that the matchup is pretty evenly matched…
I dunno why you didn’t read about it earlier on…
5v5 is picked based on the skills of the player against the diversity of characters… someone who can adapt under adverse conditions if the matchup isn’t in their favor…
Dhalsim has one of the biggest underestimated skillsets…
And known for his unorthodox tactics…
No diss on you Jay or anything but… lets be real…
“it’s like, did you really do your research?”
[YOU JUST DON’T KNOW]
<333 Just a half-joke. Don’t hurt me.
crackfeend i kno u think u got skilz but HELLO BROTHER…
i dun even kno what the deal is…
It should clearly be LAMERBOI PAD GUILE!!!
5th should be PAD GUILE for sure…
everyone knows that PAD GUILE is one of best tier…
i dunno why PAD GUILE player wasnt picked earlir on…
5v5 should be picked on PAD base… who can play best of “this” PAD…
PAD GUILE has one of the most potentials…
its known for its top-tier-ness…
no diss on joysticks but… lets be real…
“its like askin whats better, PAD GUILE or STICK GUILE”
[PAD GUILE IS A MUST NEED]
Haha. I feel bad for Jay now.
happy 4th everyone!!!
Someone should check and see if those caffeine pills are legal in Nevada. IF they aren’t, you cannot pick Ryan for the team.
i think ppl misundrstood me…
i am not tryin to say that a high tier character will always win…lol
i am sayin that high tier will always have more potential…
in this case, i am sayin that sagat is a better character than dhalism…
in this case which i believe it has more potentials…
i m not lookin at dhalism vs sagat…
i m lookin at OVERALL…
dhalism vs overall…
sagat vs overall…
i think that sagat will do much better… n believe tat sagat should be on the team…
haaahha
lamberboi’s pad guile is best match up against all stick players. excluding another pad guile O_O
sagat is a big target dummy imo, gets hit by da dumbest tihngs because of his hitbox haha.
p.s. why everybody talking bout sagat for? should be all bout that BiSon mannnnnn. da most menacing character in the game. give everybody trouble : )
Bison + 100 LETS GOOOOOO
The only issue with your statements is that you aren’t looking at overall, if it were a 1v1 that would be a perfectly reasonable thing, but the issue with this is, as a 5v5 it’s more important to cover certain match ups since the rest of the team already covers various things, and Dhalsim is the closest thing to an anti Sagat out there which would definitely serve the current team well.
A solid variety is excellent, we have a solid Ryu since there aren’t really any bad match ups for that punk, maybe Sagat at worst. In Ryu’s benefit however is over half the cast, most importantly from seeing the other teams is the matches against Rufus(Marn) and if applicable Honda (Mike Ross)
Balrog in theory has issues with Sagat and gief, I think that the Gief part isn’t as egregious as people believe, but I’m sure crackfiend will do well with him, he’s also particularly a beat down stick against a few characters. Notable in this case being Akuma (Ed Ma)
We have a Viper who’s very tricky, this character gets raped by Honda, but otherwise is able to do rather well, covering some difficulties for Rog and Ryu by taking on Chun and Sim(Sabin.). This Viper happens to also have beasted fairly well in SoCal from what I hear from the SBO quals, a potential anti Sagat, high damage and if an opponent makes a mistake Andry can do a lot of damage and capitalize on this shiz. Also if Sabin pulls out Seth for any reason a new hole will appear in him thanks to Viper’s thunder strap on.
Rufus although he has a few fairly bad match ups is very strong toward a fair section of the cast, and depending on order that could have a big effect. Importantly he beats Viper (Combofiend) and Sim (Sabin)
Looking at this and the various people we know we’re up against that we know thus far we have a few holes Ryu (Valle), Sagat(IloveyouJoe, SoMuchDamage), and Rog(Gootecks, Wong) all have people we go even with against them, but not particularly beat downs. The closest thing to an anti Sagat is a Dhalsim, and Philipino Champ did eat Kaiser last time pretty severely (topped with bacon and a side of hype.) And Sim does fairly well against Ryu as well. Also the man has enough hype for the entire team and then some, with his powers of shit talking he’d definitely give the team a specific edge.
It really comes down to skill though, here are some other good hole fixers.
Sagat would cover the Boxer hole more, and is even with himself and Ryu.
So if Haunts(Already has experience fighting SoCal from SBO quals, the guy who almost beat down Ross before that ridiculous come back.), The Rim Rattler(Beat Crack in some tournies), Kaiser(3rd in second most recent fudd), etc think they would be more apt to cover those 3 holes than Champ I’m sure people positing their reasoning would be good here.
Other characters that would fill this void well are:
Bison as he goes even with Ryu and Rog, the guy is tricky and can definitely hold his own against a lot of the others out there, as far as he’s concerned, LPN(9th in last Fudd, has placed high in most Fudd’s) and Graham Wolfe (Legend overall) would be my nominations for best in the area. Graham knows the Rog and Rufus matches really well, both of which would be useful, I don’t have as much experience playing LPN, though his record shows he knows some matches rather well.
Akuma would also be fairly solid thanks to even matches against Ryu and Sagat I believe Nima is our top Akuma, took 9th at this Fudd get together and has been improving greatly. Likely to carry the strength of 2 team mates as he has the power of being a twin. :o [/silly]
The last alternative character I see is Chun as she beats Boxer, which would be important for one of the team captains thus a big deal, she also goes even with Ryu. By far A_Rival is our most consistent Chun by far having taken the top few slots at the Fuddrucker’s tournies every time. Rival and Andry already play a lot together, team unity likely to be higher.
So really, all those people would be suitable and it just comes down to Choi’s choice. I definitely think holding a subtourney of top choices like that and have them play round robin and see how they do. Also throwing in Choi and Crackfiend to rep 2 of the characters that are on the danger list to check their specific levels against the holes would be quite excellent as well.
Though if this happens I’d totally like to play casuals there to get in matches with all of ya since I’ve been improving greatly, though not skilled enough to even think of putting myself on said list.
You Just Know I’d love to see it bro.
Air B-boy headstomps and shin guards all day FTMFW
Sounds like a deli: Choi’s Choice
5 dollar foot longs
Though is my estimation right on you Crack? Will you not fall to any Giefs who may appear? Also going to overcome odds and tear up those Gats?
Also, LPN, what are some other draw points to put in my post for why you’re a good potential? As I know your record is good, but I’ve only got to play you a few times, so can’t cover any of your match up skills/accomplishments. >.<
Dude, why am I on the team? I don’t even know how to play the game. Overcoming odds and tearing up what? GG, NorCal team loses cuz of me.
