you dont need to print anything if you pay for the registration, just show up and check in with Seth/Jason Wilson or whoever is going the registrations on site, so they know that you’re there.
we had MAJOR probs at evo east, people paid and then never checked in so they were getting left out of the brackets.
i tried to register from my phone, but it was a no go. ill have to do it when i get home and i have pc access. though im nervous about the refund policy, as there is a chance that my employees getting fired could ruin this trip for me. mayhaps i should print and pay the extra ten at the door?
Also anyone need a roomate? I am going to need a place to crash for my time up in the Hotel…anyone need some roomates? (2-3 at least)

What happened to all the free Evo tournaments before Evo Final/World? I guess the sponsors jumped ship?
only south and west were free, for specific reasons. keep in mind, evo east is still ECC and evo north is still MWC at heart. even moreso for north/mwc… the evo names are just slapped on for authorized qualifiers. theses 2 tournaments have been around since before EVO. while south and west were conceived for evo. theres more to it than that. but toyota, the sponsor, definitely has not jumped ship.

I already figured out what the final is going to be for the “mystery tournament”, all I have to say is, it’s something no one is going to think of, hahahhahahah!

thats how we are doing it. did it that way last year. but we do make the finals game a little more “special.”

Signed up for the Sf3 tournament.
Never been to an EVO before, and Im trying to figure out my schedule so I can reserve a car rental.
I am definitely coming up Saturday for the sf3 tourney, but should I come up Friday night as well? Are there usually many side games (of sf3 specifically). I just want to be able to play sf3 as much as possible, and want to maximize my time down there when people will actually be playing that game.
Any tips?
PS: wish you guys would pick someplace in the city next time!

Im just whining because its a random suburb in the middle of nowhere, my initial reaction was just that with a major urban city nearby it would make more sense to run it there.
Dont take it the wrong way, just having a small reactionary bitch based on personal preference, no big deal, I havnt had to go through the ordeal of organizing something this big and finding a good venue like yall have AND I havnt had a chance to check out Nickel City yet.
And Besides, I shouldnt be blaming you guys, I should be blaming the lack of good arcades/venues in Chicago. You are right, there really aren’t any real Arcades here at all.

Hey sorry for the late reply dude, and thanks. But right now it sounds like im not even sure if its a sure thing im going anymore. But if I do and your still up for letting me borrow it for the tourny thanks. Just make sure to put a piece of paper and tape your name on it or something if this is the case. Dont want anyone getting horny thinking they seem some random ps2 or something and trying to jack it.
