EVO North/MWC 2009: Midwest Championships! June 12-14, 2009

Nice. I may be going to a Brawl tourney on Saturday then drive over for another one on Sunday.

Midwest EVO SF4 5 on 5 Qualifier info:

This will take place on Friday June 12 5PM at Midwest Championships/EVO North

Anyone wishing to play in this tournament MUST have already signed up for EVO and I will be checking if you have with Wizard

We will be having 4 free entry tournaments to decide the final spots on the team

The format will be 2/3 rounds 2/3 Matches Single elimination

You MUST stick with the same character throughout the ENTIRE tournament(s). No counter-picking. Your character will be signed to your name upon registration.

Once a character has won a tournament that character is banned from all the tournaments that follow it. As of right now the only character banned is Sagat.

This tournament is open to anyone that is a Midwest resident but please only enter if you are serious about representing MW at EVO and are 100% for sure going.

So I would be willing to help out and donate some TVs. I have two with one being a 20 inch crt and the other being a 42 inch lcd. problem is of course transportation… that and just how would you transport a 42 inch to begin with?

maybe someone with a truck or a gmc? also I could donate a working ps3 but I dont have a copy of sf4 (only have the xbox version)

I’m new to the tournament scene, so forgive my newbness. Does the above rule mean that if the winner used Ryu, then Ryu would be banned from EVO WORLD? Clarification please.

DJ Magic Marco, there is a side event for people who want to qualify for the midwest team for the SF4 5v5 regional event at evo. They are having 4 single elim SF4 tournaments to determine who will make up the team. That is what that is referring to. Oh and they’re doing this for HD Remix as well but it’s an unofficial side event at EVO.
