Wiz has been posting “warnings” about this for weeks and weeks on SRK blogs, here in the EVO section, twitter and facebook. If you didn’t catch wind on one of those outlets you really didn’t want to attend EVO that badly.
And no, the 10$ pass is not an awful idea. People can’t seem to grasp that there is such a thing as a Room Capacity. If attendance passes its max occupancy for the room, im sure laws will be broken regarding the fire code and EVO will be at great risk at being served a hefty fine and having the event shut down. Last time this was hosted at Ceaser’s, there were people balls to the wall filling that ballroom during grand finals. If what Wiz says is true, and the attendance and entry level for EVO has doubled since last year, then there is no way that room can fit every person come grand finals.
Quick question. If I bought a competitor pass will I still be able to spectate on sunday or should I have bought a spectator pass separately? Thanks and sorry if this was already answered.
T_T I registered a month ago, but then asked to be switched to the spectator pass because I didn’t want to waste bracket space-- but didn’t know I was being dropped not switched. Well I’m fucked now… if someone has a spectator badge they can’t use hit me up
Umm I don’t see what the confusion is…it was said on the front page like 2 weeks ago that if you buy a competitor pass and are in a tournament then you will be able to watch finals on Sunday.
If my friend signed up to play in some of the tournaments and im going to be his partner in sfxt but not playing anything else, am I getting a badge or am i banished to the free room?
Nope. Side tournies aren’t sanctioned by evo and therefore don’t require passes to play in. So you would need a spectator pass at minimum to get in on Sunday.
EDIT: Fixed slight mistake. I was thinking something different.
