Its not the fact that he reported the information to the public, its the fact that the tournament hasnt even started yet, and we were basically called worthless and dont know how to run a tournament. He didn’t even bother to come up to any staff and see what was going on, he immediately ran to a computer to trash the event. There is a difference between posting information and slander.

Yeah it was a very quick and unresesearched response to a tournament many people are traveling to. I can see the problem but man that guy has been here since I can even remember.

As soon as they started testing MvC2 and started seeing how Justin was missing combos with Magneto, I saw the Cannons, Chen, and Wiz start to work on the backup plan to get CRTs in there. I don’t mind HDTV lag, kinda got used to it and can adjust, but I saw them begin the groundwork for fixing the issue before gameday tomorrow. Everyone chill. They’ve got this all under control and everyone will be able to play laglessly.

Banning fubarduck is a really weak move in my opinion. Hopefully this is just a kneejerk reaction and will be reversed when cooler heads prevail. Also don’t forget the fact that in his first few post he even said that someone had edited his thread title yet that person didn’t decide to say anything about what the Evo staff was doing to fix the situation. Why was nothing said then? I don’t see how you can justify banning him for saying the tournament was poorly planned when yall said you tested cvs2 on the tvs and it worked and then when you got there the tvs didn’t and there was lag. Wouldn’t that lead one to the logical explanation that the plan was flawed? Where is the slander?

I changed the thread title to mention the actual problem being discussed, so if someone was interested they would not skip over it and think it was some general comment/complaint about evo.
When i got the update from wiz, everyone was updated as soon as possible by one of us or someone down the grapevine.

He was one of my favorite posters on this entire site, he was always helpful and friendly. I learned how to mod a Seimitsu into my HRAP because of him. I didn’t buy an LCD because of him. He was informative about things going on in Japan for some of the new games that hadn’t hit the states yet.
Point being, I can’t think of another poster, on all of Shoryuken, who’s been as much of an asset to your site as him in the year that I’ve been reading these forums.

dude, he didn’t do anything wrong, he doesn’t deserve to be banned. just because he didn’t do the ‘RIGHT’ thing in YOUR mind doesn’t mean he necessarily did something wrong. he felt like informing everyone that was making a huge commitment to travel to CT that the setups were unplayable and it was a wack situation.
