It’s still good and I certainly appreciate it. Moving on up definetly!
Two vids on one page rapes my Firefox though.

anyway i can get a general idea of what 3s vids are gonna be on the dvd so i know what i can’t/can release?
i don’tcare about vids. i care about yours and the rest of the srk staffs write ups about evo. was it a success? failure? mishaps? changes for next year?
Did Rockerfeller announce 3S finals?
Yes. KSK was also kind enough to do announcing for some matches as well.
To be honest I would just rather wait until SRK releases a professional version of it. This way after the time frame has elapsed we can relive that moment again. Also buying it rather than downloading it supports the community and shows sponsors and investers that we are willing to put back into the community.
(Don’t get all razzled it was a general statement. So if the shoe fits wear it, if not consider it a friendly reminder for all.)
Workin’ on it, but I’m still recovering from the last weekend, and haven’t had the willpower to stay up late to write it up. I should have the first part of my write up soon, hopefully.
I’d take KSK over rockefeller any day…its sad that when it comes to live commentary its still FFA vs Japan
its not ffa vs japan when it comes to commentary its that noone else gets a chance
sabr3 mentioned rock was asked to tone down his usual commentary cause of the sponsors and stuff thats why it wasn’t funny like usual still fuck you to all those guys yelling in the middle of the match thats why more distracting then saying far fierce
Re: The Sound Mixing
The reason we didn’t just capture everything with 1 floating mic was that it would lead to incredible distoration. Those of you who were there know how hard it was to understand what the announcers were saying due to the booming echo produced by the house sound system. We didn’t want that crappy quality audio on the DVD.
Instead, we took direct feed from all our sources (game audio, 2 unidirectional mics suspended in front of the crowd, and both hand-mics used by the announces), fed them into a mixer, and send the combined stream to the DVD recorder. On Saturday (Duc vs Sanford), the direct feed from the game console was running a little hot, which is why you can barely hear anything else (especially the crowd noise). We also only had 1 microphone over the crowd on Saturday.
On Sunday we did an audio-level test before the finals, after which we added another mic to boost the crowd audio and lowered the volume of the game audio. I haven’t heard that footage yet, but it should be much much better quality than what you see on http://evo2k.com/aftermath
I’m very grateful for the download tks but…
In reference to the Sanford v. Duc money match, maybe I missed something or probably looking to deep. But why wouldn’t they show the last or winning fight?
I mean it doesn’t even give you Sanford winning that 8th fight.
Ponder: awesome!
As I understand it, these videos are a low-quality sneak preview of what’s on the DVD. That is where you will find all the hotness.
Hopefully they put the DVD on a disk rather than making us dl it, i would love for this year to be the first Evo dvd that i buy.:lovin:
The match between Daigo and Valle in 3S was the third and final match.
Aight … tks for clarifying that point.
Anyways Preppy sorry about your MAS stick. I read about it while searching for some MVC2 EVO footage on your site…real messed up.
Good luck bro I see how much equipment and work you voluntarily devote to this for that to take place…
I wish I stayed longer to see the Duc VS Sanford money match in person…I missed out, and I live like 10 minutes away from Red Rock, damn it!
ponder- were all the matches from the big screen recorded or did someone have to turn on the recorder?
What videos are off-limits to put online? Only final 8 like usual?
I didn’t think I’d be able to up any vids since my PC is dead, but it seems like I might be able to.
