QFT: I’ve seen a TON of people on GGPO playing runaway and if you just walk in they dash and throw, or they do something incredibly random that can’t be blocked on time online like Dudley’s doing EX MCGB or Shoto’s doing dash crMK.
Watch your own videos and instead of counting how many random throws land, count how many are tech’d. The chinta vs Urien match for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fciv3Jb1MaE&feature=related, I counted seven techs, and I counted two random throws which actually landed. Most of the throws which landed in the match were after the opponent whiffed a move or tick throw mixups…
Because you learn, and anticipate… Does that jump in shoryuken work offline, you know, the one Chinta did?
I suggest ignoring joe the condor. It’s not worth the time to respond.
How many of you bitching are actually worth a damn, seriously? You guys probably need GGPO to practice, and you should be grateful.
I’m playing under lbc. I’ve been having trouble punishing and I don’t think it’s because I’ve been out of practice. I play offline and I can land all these punishes perfectly albeit on a stick instead of a pad.
I think I’m worth it, tbh. I’m in the same boat as metric. We’re good, we’re really fucking good but we didn’t kiss enough us to get the recognition from the ass kissing brigade aka the circle of “tops”.
ya Europe has always had a better scene for 3S. on that alone I used to give them the edge. 2nd place has lways been a toss up between Europe and US. Ive played against Zak and Hart and of course my boy Harmonaz but i realy dont know who their other heavy hitters are. the serious europe players had good cabs to play on and more japanese opponent experience as i think they had more hype events where japs came thru.
but when 3S was poppin in the US a WC vs Europe battle would have been cool as hell. throw in some kofiend and exodus on that roster also and get me some popcorn.
but real talk its propably JP >EU>WC>EC>GGPO>Hold Dat>SF4
ya that looks about right lol
After seeing this: http://youtu.be/W3IgCZI26gw (check out the Dud vs Akuma match at 1:00 ) I’m starting to think that the GGPO casuals could in fact do better. That Dudley was so free.
Dander, I don’t really have a specific time when I get on. I work 9-5 on the week-days. Just hit me on aim if you have it “itzjordaNN”.
ill bite on this. seems to be your slick way of calling Exodus free lol. you honestly think you can get 10 “ggpo only” trained players to go up against any 10 players from NY/NJ/MD/VA? better yet are you saying that you could beat exodus since that dudley is so free?
I have a feeling though that you wont answer the two questions directly though
anyway when 3SO drops we’ll have perfect ports to play on. question is will these GGPO all stars travel for some offline tournies
no… the times I should have went to evo are long gone. I wouldn’t waste the time or money now a days. I stopped playing in tournies after final round 8
PapaRhino
whos trollin? I play on ggpo for kicks and still beast most people on ggpo. 3S was never my game and it never will be. Im a GGXX player that has no outlet to beast in. 3s was my next best option since imo blaze blue sucked.
----- to the rest of the crew in this thread ----
this offline vs online players is a joke.
its like saying
Sand men vs Water men - Battle Ground: SAND LAND!!!
Hmmm… I wonder who will win.
its not rocket science people… online players have an advantage online and offline players have an advantage offline and lets not forget hybrids like exo and etc.
to make it a equal match the game would have to lag just a little maybe 1 frame for the offline players and play at its fastest “lag free” for the online players.
AND even then the offline players would still win imo. offline players live, eat and shit whatever game they play. 99% of vs online players dont do that. if they did they wouldnt be playing just online.
but what i would like to see is cruise play a high level offline player. I would like to know if his “rush everything, charge nothing” style of play works on high level players offline.
You can play GGXX online actually.
I’ll be on GGPO. Come at me, bro.
Yeah I’m not to sure on who the best in Europe are, but if they are anything like as good as the people who played at Stunfest XI, i’d say they’re not that far off Japan’s level, def better than the standard i’ve seen from America. But of course, I only have youtube and stream to judge by so…
HOLY SHIT GUNFIGHT IS GOOD

I’m sure any Denjin player would crush the entirety of the GGPO community, short of the Japanese players.
Hell, I’d put money on Sherry, Anna, or Jay-Jay beating the majority of GGPO players.
It’s something essentially impossible to quantify. All that needs to be said is: Japan is the top, the rest of the world is worse. It’s going to vary too drastically form place to place, group to group to really say anything else.
Is this another way of saying you get beat by “Sherry, Anna, and Jay-Jay?”
It’s funny how the audience cheer on their own player every single damn time he gets some damage in, but go “OHHHHH NOOO” in a stupid french accent when MOV does the same.
. I have played it online… with the hack or whatever… finding people to play sometimes takes 10 minutes and so on. the last time I tried to play it I had to reinstall all of it and I could not get a game to start after that for some reason. If the GGXX online had even half the people the ggpo 3s room has… you would never see me on ggpo.
I wish ggpo would add ggxx
And this is why nobody likes “Denjin” players. Allot of the time you guys come off like god gifts to Third Strike. I’ve gone to to Denjin and went even with everybody except 5star. Must be because GGPO is so ass.
