This should get everyone hype. I like the jazzy music in this:
Wait, that hotel charges a fee to use the safe? I think that dude is totes wrong. I’ve traveled to many hotels and have used the safe no problem. Most just ask you to punch in a number and close it, that’s it. There’s no way for the hotel to even know you used the safe as far as I can tell.
Didn’t want to make a separate post but can anyone tell me what console mkx will be played on?
On the Playstation 4
Will Japanese players and Korean players (mainly top USF4 Korean/Japanese players) join MKX???
Capcom and Nintendo heavy as expected
You mean The same Killer instinct that has a $50,000 dollar pot at evo? Exactly. Stop bitching about games you never played
Granted Rok made that post 4 months ago and that community pot bonus we got can finally show people that KI isn’t at Evo solely because of Microsoft/Wiz. They asked the community to buy content that would go towards a prize pot and the community bought up 100k worth of content in 3 days. 50k of the the money goes into top 32 at Evo and the rest will go into other tourneys. 10k was distributed at Combo Breaker and now 15k will be distributed at CEO. DOTA2 apparently has been doing these community fund driven pots and they have been very successful with it.
I like Skullgirls and KI a lot both because they are fighting games made by fighting gamers that think about the small things like netcode and having access to frame data and hit boxes that the big boys don’t. They’re just all about making you drive hours to play with people and give you shitty netcode and limited data on the basics of the game. Hopefully SFV changes things since Ono supposedly confirmed SFV will be using rollback netcode. With the advent of twitch streams being huge these days its stupid to make people play super sloppy on streams with 5 frames of input delay. MKX has been a disaster online because of that. I generally find it interesting how SFV is also taking the approach of KI/Skullgirls and making a trailer for every character.
**Anyone who thinks MKX is going anywhere anytime soon is silly. It is the most commercialized fighitng game in the FGC and people will watch you play MKX on streams simply because it’s MKX. ** They had more people watching MK9 than the grand finals for USFIV at Evo last year I believe. You don’t have to be good at MKX, you don’t have to know any frame data, they can see you not block shit or do combos because the netcode is terrible, but as long as you’re making blood spill, taking someone’s head off and talking you’ll get 100’s or 1,000’s of views plus subs and donations. **I was watching a friend who plays mostly Killer Instinct who got 1,000 dollars in donations in ONE HOUR and at least 5 new subs doing nothing but talking to the chat without the game even playing. ** That’s just for KI. If he was playing MKX he’d probably have been able to nearly quit his day job that night. LOL.
They had 45,000 people watching MKX at Combo Breaker and I believe MKX also had the most entrants since Chicago is a big NRS area. Chicago is also the main headquarters for IG which is why the turnout for KI was really strong at 100+ people also.
Mortal Kombat is marketed as a AAA game and not just a fighting game so it attracts a much wider audience for sales and views.
