A Quick Introduction to Evolution World Finals
If you?re new to the fighting game scene and Evo is something that is new to you, here?s a very brief primer: As the world?s largest open fighting game tournament, the Evolution Championship Series has grown into a global event attracting thousands of competitors of the highest caliber from all over the world seeking victories, cash prizes, and community respect. For more than a decade, the tournament is where new talent emerges as champions, and where reigning champions grow into legends.

However, in recent years, Evo has evolved (no pun intended) into something more. It?s where community members and players ranging anywhere from the casual gamer and spectator to the hardcore tournament junkie can gather en masse and connect to meet in person, learn about the newest fighting game titles and hardware, witness the history in the making, and most importantly, throw down against opponents from all over the world. No matter who you ask, they?ll all tell you the same thing: If there?s only one event you can attend, Evolution is the tournament you will not want to miss.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Hype!

Can’t wait! I’ll definitely be there!

I liked how the evo announcement was made over night, very classy.

Are we gonna have another live episode of wakeup srk to announce the game line up?

Anyways I can’t wait! Been going since 2009! Looking forward to chowing down on some All-American Bar & Grille and In n Out!

Hell Yeah, the All-American Bar Grill Dry Aged Steaks were bomb. I ate there 3-4 times during my EVO2k9 trip.
Best steaks I ever ate.

Very nice choice to return to the Rio…can’t wait!

I’m very happy with the Rio. Loved the hotel and it’s much less expensive than Ceasar’s.
Plus free shuttles to the strip every like 20 minutes.

Don’t get me wrong I loved Ceasar’s but for a trip like Evo I prefer the price of Rio. Plus at the Rio I didn’t have to wait an hour and a half in line to check in only to be told to come back in 30 minutes and this 5 times until I finally got to check into my rooms at 6pm. That was kinda bogus :S

Yes! I am going. Glad it is at the Rio, the only thing that stopped me last year was how expensive Caesars was. See you all in July!

Valaris: I’ll be there this year for sure, my friend.

There!!!

How far ahead of time do people normally show up? This would be my first year going as I decided that I wanted to go way to late last year.

Most people get into Vegas the Thursday before (28th). Some others decide they may want to come a few days prior to hang around and drink/gamble/etc, so it’s really up to you. But the majority show up one day before evo.

Getting the tickets over the weekend.

See everyone there!

Can’t wait. Very happy its at the rio since I didn’t get a chance to go in 09. Plus its A LOT cheaper than Caesars palace (as fun as Caesars was, it was just too damn expensive)

Can’t wait to see everyone.

Already made my reservation!!! This would be my 3rd trip to Evo in a row!!
Im super glad we r back to Rio, Caesars Palace was nice and all but Rio has more variety and of course much cheaper. This year Evo will be bigger than ever!!!

EVO Japan anyone

when can you register for the tournament? I already booked a room

I’ll book my trip after I file my taxes.

I guess I better start practicing, so I don’t get completely raped.
