Let me preface the body by saying this is just a mini thread to get some attention. The only one in the NW discussion that I can find was the flight plans.

I’ve decided to commit to EVO 2011 assuming 2.5 months is enough notice at work to get the time off. I’ve never been to EVO, but I’m anticipating that I do well.

I wanted to offer (carpool)rides to Gameworks (for now) since it’s the place to get some AE practice in, and I’m going every day. ACME bowl is another place I’m going to head to soon and I’ll be going to either, every day of the week but Sundays (because Sunday turn outs are garbo).

Gameworks and ACME bowl will primarily be the practice stations for me. BUT,* if anyone is interested* I can also have 5-8 people over at any time (with 2 TE Madcatz sticks, huge TV) to play/practice/discuss more than comfortably. I mentioned “discuss” there, because I learn more from discussing why things don’t or do work, than anything else.

Without much detail, I was just gonna throw out the offer for rides, or offer an open door to people who are broke or don’t want to go to GW.

For starters, people should come out to tournaments, particularly the Salty Runback series because that gets the most amount of participants in both SF4 and MvC3. I would say that without a doubt, that is the most popular fighting game event in Seattle right now, getting high skilled players from both games.

Practicing against the new AE characters is important, but playing more Super can’t really hurt. The game remains essentially the same.
