SRK isn’t the audience that TvC is banking on to pull in the numbers. 99% of us are going to bitch about not having a Wii/stick/etc. as evidenced by this thread. There’s a good chance the Smash kids are fed up with their shitty game and are just waiting for another game to show up on the Wii before they jump ship.
They should put 3rd Strike for this year’s EVO. I love that game and in the first page one of the guys made a really good point.
People still play the OLD Street Fighter which I hate but for 10 years before Street Fighter 4 came out, people been playing 3rd Strike. All of a sudden since Street Fighter 4 came out, it doesn’t matter anymore?!? That doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I don’t care who thinks that way.
I’ve been practicing this game along with Street Fighter 4 and this game should be back. I want 3rd Strike to be part of EVO in any way. That’s going to rock!!

Unless we see a console port within the next few months, do NOT - I repeat do NOT - put BBCT as an official EVO lineup. There was already a hash of that from Guilty Gear Slash -> Accent Core. We don’t need history to repeat itself.

more than anything i’m just thinking that a BBCT top 8 would be horribly sloppy since nobody cares about that game…kinda like GGXX in 04 or T5DR a couple years back, except much worse

=Marvel - high turnouts, overall interest. DC ports may be a problem, but I dont think it will take the game out of the lineup even if that meant using MvC2HD as it currently is.
The other two spots are the trick ones. TVCUS might get in if the reception is great. SC4 might as well. Skipping one game (5 games lineup) due to huge turnout is another possibility. SSF4 teams would get a huge turnout too and fill the 5th game role.
Is there a date that the official games list is supposed to be announced or is it just something that’ll pop up when it does?

I think BB should be in it, that game may be losing momentum till continuum shift comes out but i think it will get more people than alot of the older cap-com games that would take its place. that being said i would rather have Melty than Blazblue.
Melty blood is by far the fastest growing game right now outside of sf4 and maybe Tekken or soul calibur i dont really know 3d. despite being import the number of people who play it and enter it at majors has surprised me, its got hype.
this is the only 2d game that i know of right now that is really on the way in. Bb, GG, sfIII, Marvel, cvs2, hdr. all have a weaker scene than in their prime, not too sure about west coast but i think MB would get more entrants than alot of these.
At Frosty Foustings Melty had more than twice the entrants of marvel, 3s, or hdr. and Chicago Isn’t exactly a Melty blood hotspot.
I love TVC but i think it needs to prove itself with the new version first before it is considered. I mean any of these games if not picked will be a side tourney of decent size,but what games deserve to be main games? what games to people still care about? will the tourney have just a few hardcore veterans with a different main game? or will it bring in alot of new entrants without any skill? I think MB is the game that would get the most benefit from the publicity of being an Evo game and i am not sure if that is even debatable. the best you can do for alot of the other games is prolong its death for 6 months i think.
I would REALLY like to see SC4 for one more year. The finals had the crowd going immensely. I know a lot of the people who only cared about SF took off, but I sat around with a lot who had never really played the game and had them yelling their asses off by the end of it with me.
Watching GG was like watching a golf tournament. I like the game but yeah…boring as hell final.
I say no TvC simply because I feel it will struggle in the US and the fact it’s only on the Wii is a HUGE issue.

That’s my line up.
We had issues getting people on SC4 because of the damn SSBB kiddies. 4 assholes to a screen while we got stuck with 1 or 2 Tv’s and 30 people long lines. We wound up hiding in our hotel rooms with TONs of people crammed inside by day 2.
I seem to recall the crowd being a lot more into it BEFORE the finals when Hilde was around… 
Just out of curiousity, did you ask them to perhaps let go of one or two stations to allow you guys to stay? I’m sure you guys could’ve come to some kind of consensus.
I just heard a rumor in the HDR forum that HDR may not be featured. That would break my heart. I have no chance to compete in SF4 (I totally suck at that game!!!) and therefore would come to EVO only for HDR.
Please, please don’t cut HDR.
