oh well, landing far MP is not as common as landing cr.mk isnt it, and it is 3 bar. Of course it is safer than lk axe kick fadc (-5) i believe. But it is uncommon. For raw ex DP FADC then it is different, like the comment below
DP FADC Ultra 2 would be more efficient for the last case. But Ex DP FADC with 411 damage and a lot of stun is nice.
I have to admit, at intermediate level of play. Cr.mk xx lk axe kick rfc into ultra 2 is freaking OP.
Meter. And 2 DP is still < than HP DP alone. You dont go for Ex DP with E.ryu often since the combo is already very long and prob down to 10-20% damage
Something else I noticed about EX dp(first hit) fadc is that it forces stand. You don’t need cl.hp or c.hp to do a combo. You can just use cl.mp if you can’t hit those links.
What are his most reliable whiff punishers? I’ve been trying to get into him as to play offline. I’ve been switching from him & Ken but still haven’t decided which would I ultimately would stick with as the front runner. Also, I don’t think I’ve posted here before & I’m relatively new to the community. You may have met me at TFC. That was my 1st SF tournament. I’ve been in the FGC for nearly 3 years. DOA & MK were my 1st 2 competitive games offline. I play SF, DOA, MK, & VF. Been playing SF since the very 1st one & then SFII. Haven’t stopped since. Hi everyone, would just like to introduce myself. I’ve been following the forum for sometime, just never posted. I’ve been playing E.Ryu mainly since my return to the game after a 3 year break(you lose A LOT IN 3 years of not playing a single game).
I’ve been in the lab trying to keep my AA’s & Footsies on point, sometimes they get rusty if I bounce around from character to character but I have noticed that when patient & you choose correctly, C.Mk can drive opponents nuts. Lol
Just attempting to keep my game grounded & work on adding hit confirms to my game at a higher rate & practicing new combos even if I drop them more than reciever with one hand.

I’ve been lurking literally everywhere bar the characters I main. About time I posted on this sub-forum…been playing Evil since early AE days, he was the character that really levelled up my execution to a much higher standard than before.
I have a little question about the Rufus specific, and the amount of loops possible at max without FADC. I’ve maxed out at 2 before leaving cr.hp range, but I was wondering if there were any specific combinations that extend it even further while remaining meterless.
Thanks for the trick, I don’t normally throw ex fireball, it’s kind of weird pressing 2 push buttons and doing a fadc xD By taking my time, it really increases my chance of landing the U2!
Aside from that I encountered another question regarding cr.mk -> L.Axe kick -> FADC forward -> cr.LP
I’m trying to practice whiff punishing moves with this combo. I’m not sure if it has to be on a counterhit. For sure being a counterhit would increase my chance to land this combo.
I switch between the two. I learned the game on pad so I’m a bit more fluid on it, I still train hard on my Fight stick but I have noticed that on Pad that the cr. Lp or Cr. mp after the axe kick sometimes on pad can be a pain to land.
yeah, i keep missing the link. #edit: I was thinking maybe there’s a specific timing I need to press those punches on? If it’s just hold down and tap, guess need more time getting it down in the lab. lol.
Okay so how does Daigo kara-demon from the hop kick without a dash or block string? I’ve seen him just walk forward and do it without any visual jabs being buffered so I’m not sure if he’s masking it somewhere else. Is he just inputting the command during the hop kick fast?
Moving to neutral in order to do two forward inputs takes a lot of time. It’s faster to just move from forward to down forward or up forward. It will still work.
