Yes. +3 on hit. +5 on counter. Or just cancel it into any version of any special move.
cr. jab doesn’t link from close mp unless the character is crouching. nothing else really links otherwise.
there’s no point in linking anything off it though, since you can just cancel it into mk axekick, which is safer, gives more follow up options, and is a true blockstring.
You can “link” a dp. And probably mk/hk tatsu on counterhit.
CH cl.mp, hk tatsu (1 hit) FADC cl.mp, dp for pointless swag.

You sure dp works? When I’m mashing with Ryu and accidentally get cl.mp, I keep mashing if it hit to hit confirm, but I don’t with eryu. Pretty sure it was whiffing on me.
Character specific looks like. No problem doing non-CH cl.mp, hp dp on a fat body like Seth. CH cl.mp linked into hk tatsu connects the FADC-able 1st hit as well. So my theoretical combo there does work on him at least.
I was able to land non-CH cl.mp, hp dp on someone like Vega (claw), but only after a very high jump-in roundhouse and it was very unreliable.

Does the usual combo is harder on rufus?
I know that cl.hp mk axe kick, cr.mp lk tatsu won’t connect on him but if I change cr.mp with cr.lp it will.
It still feel harder than usual, anything? (I know the full sako combo, just haven’t start practicing it yet) -
Since I started playing e.Ryu my anti air game got a lot better, especially dp. A Gouken player started mixing his jump with his air parry. Which cost me about half life bar if I dp it. Any solution for it?
- I can j.mp, but it quite hurt my footsies since i need to react a lot earlier to manage it. (though he does jump a lot)
- mp dp will beat it if i does it at the last moment and getting 2 hits. But if i miss-time it, again, I lose 50% life.
- Maybe something beat all his demon flip options?
why linking anything ( beside shoryu ) from lk tatsu feel so weird , why isnt it easy as Akuma lk tatsu linking
What type of link is a hadouken > FADC > cr. forward? 1 frame, 2 frame, etc?
I think I remember people saying it’s a 2 framer. But then again I can never link cl. HK(8f) after hado > FADC which would be a 1 framer if you are +8 after a immediate hado > FADC. Maybe my execution is just lacking but sometimes I’ll spend like half an hour on just this and can never land it. But then again I almost never drop the low forward after FADC in practice and a 1 framer can’t be that easy. Basically I would like to know to.
You get more advantage if you space the cr.mk. iirc eryu is +7 after an upclose cr.mk xx fb fadc, but it increases slightly from the tip of cr.mk because the fb hits slightly later. Fortunately that is the only real distance you would link into cr.mk anyway

I agree with you though; i think its a 2 framer as i can land it without plinking more that any other 1 framer but its harder than saks ex shouken cl fp which is a 3 framer. we should send eternal a message and get him to use his wizardry lol

not exactly. In most of the cases the c.mk xx LP hadou will be a blockstring aswell. In such cases, its better than c.mk XX HP hadou because you the resulting frame disadvantage will be lower.

I couldnt test myself, but i wonder if they are ways to use ex shakunetsu as a pressure tool due to his massive advantage on block and seems to be an easy hit confirm for U1 in the corner.
iv thought the same. even midscreen ex shaku combos to ultra i just dont know if that frame trap is worth it ( frame trap vs delayed tech vs being mashed on [you can mash out with normals] vs kara throw if you in range) i like U2 so much more so i havent tested it. its on you bro inspire us! lol. also are you in range for kara grabs/walk forward kara grabs? [id help out but surgery :(]
I will say i looked into this before but i may have missed stuff. 1 meter is alot for a frame trap but e ryu can build alot
Can you link st.mp after two cr.mp?
Sure, it’s a 1f link but it’s character specific. Off the top of my head I know it works against Sagat, Cammy, Abel, Guy, and Cody. Probably works on a few other characters but I’m not sure.

You should work on your hit confirms, anti-airs, fireball spacing, meter usage, your combos and your punishment combos. Other than that not bad for your beginner Evil Ryu.
