It really seens that MK axe kick is -2 on block, ot got punished by every SPD but the Ex one (spd = 2f, ex spd = 4f), and both Ryu and Ken’s HP dp cant punish it aswell (3f).
LK axe kick seens to be at least -3 on block (it gets punished by 3f moves)

It should be noted if someone doesn’t know they can punish Axe Kick on block (if they can) to abuse it. It’s not a real blockstring from whatever normal you cancel it from, but it gives a fuckload of meter and it pushes them to the corner pretty reliably.

Has anyone noticed Evil Ryu’s J. Hk and J. Hp? They seem to have a lousy hitbox
I haven’t really found anything good for j.hp, but j.hk is very good. You can use it as a fake crossup, like Ken/Ryu would use j.hp.
Has anybody been using close st. HP as a close up anti-air. When I played casuals against a friend yesterday, I tried to do cr. HP several times to anti-air. But I screwed up and did close st. HP instead, but it still worked and I’m curious how good it can be when someone does neutral jump in your face or is just right on top of you.
After a focus crumple, when they fall to their knees, you can close LK and dash under the air tech for a mixup. Wait a little bit longer and the close LK dash will keep you on the same side. Good for stun resets or just general trickery!

My Evil Ryu (alt) is leveling up slowly but it’s a good thing. How are you guys dealing with his low HP? I seem to trade a lot with his jump ins and mp srk, which regular dp has more invincibility, I assumed it’s his mp like most shotos. Me as a player I’ve always waste a lil life to get in, my Seth was always horrible.
Mr. Naps match vs. Wong was mad hype.
I have been more defensively lately with my Evil Ryu, and I use my teleport to get out of corners, the punish if they would punish me for teleporting outweighs the damage I would of gotten in the corner anyways
Actually it’s Ryu’s hp DP that has the most invulnerability I’m fairly certain. Rather counter-intuitive considering the trend amongst shotos.
Do not use the teleport like this. Eryu’s isn’t like Akuma’s or Bison’s. It’s near worthless. They can be right on top of you in the corner, see you teleport, dash and punish you. That is how slow it is. The only thing I use it for is to escape vortexes. I guess wrong a couple times in a row, I’ll usually teleport away. It only works if they don’t think you’re going to use it. Just learn how to block and tech throws…escaping the corner is a lot more dangerous for shotos in AE, so get comfortable there, and avoid it in the first place(stop walking backwards, stand your ground).
Yup, learning how to challenge stuff out was mad important with my main Sak, and it’s very true for E.Ryu, even though he’s an overall better zoner than her. Everytime before a match I think to myself to not forget to challenge, secure a space with pokes and etc. nothing too predictable though. For now I’m not using the teleport at all in my game, hardly ever, but I’m starting to experiment with the jump-in teleport backwards to make them come to the c.mk range for some FADC damage.

I love L Axe kick, from far-away people try to reteliate immediately just to eat a CH Cr. MP into M axe kick
J. Rh > cl. st. Hp > Mk Axe > Cr. Mp > Ex Tatsu not only doesn’t work in the corner, it hits once and then places the opponent out of the corner and you can get punished.
Tk’d EX Tatsu does 200 damage opposed 160, I can’t find the timing on it, its weird
Not always. I haven’t found the conditions of when they drop out and when they don’t, seems hella random.
