God the ST community disgusts me sometimes.
Once again, people should play games that they enjoy. If you don’t enjoy HDR you don’t have to support it. The same goes for ST.

EVO WILL drop HDR one point or another.
CVS2, 3s, ST all get dropped. Yet these games still live on worldwide and enjoyed by many.
2 years after EVO officially drops HDR we shall come back and see if people still play this game.

God the HDR community disgusts me sometimes - oh wait, I actually like the vast majority of HDR tourney players and have been a huge participant myself… It takes willpower to avoid inaccurately generalizing.
That said, everyone who’s working to keep SF2 alive is good in my book. Some folks seem to act half their age online but as long they attend offline events, then that’s great and it’ll mean that SF2 is always a consideration for the biggest tourneys.
The best thing any motivated but on-the-fence SF2 fan can do is just attend whatever nearby SF2 events are available. If a major around you is offering ST or HDR, give it a try if at all possible; even if it’s not the version you prefer, maybe you’ll come around to liking it.
Let this situation be a wakeup call as to how the game is perceived by others and participate to ensure that SF2 remains as a mainstay of US fighting game tourneys.
Cant speak for the rest of the world, but in the UK, a good proportion of xbl hdr players are down right cowards who run away from lobbys when they see certain other UK gamertags. Zero is a prime example of said behavoir, ie running from lobbys when he see’s me there.
HDR (xbl) in the UK died a horrible death due to such douchbaggery.
HDR won’t be dead until they drop the servers and even then I’ll still play it among friends, as a matter of fact I’m planning on building a dedicated HD Remix Cabinet this summer so I’d say it’s got some more life left still.

Mr x64 keep playing your babyzone game HDR because the real men play ST now. If your a man you will play some ST online and realize why you have been in babyzone HDR land so long. It is nice and safe and you don’t have to deal with the true ST beasts.
I think of HDR as a nice protective separate world where babyzone and fun times happen. GGPO ST is the secret training grounds world where the warlords are and these warlords fight epic wars and get stronger and stronger.
