it’s been a long time since i visited here…it’s good to see some videos in youtube of very good remy matches…the matches makes me shout ala Ric Flair everytime Remy whips the ass of Chuns and Yuns…reminds me of the good old days when there was 3S in our local mall…it makes me want to play again…too bad my job prevents me of doing so… i’m glad there are some people here who still play 3s even there is SF4 (which is i’m dissapointed especially with Guile’s return)…good job guys

@everdread: kudos to you for keeping this thread alive…do you have more videos of your matches? I’m looking forward of seeing them

max range/meaty uoh and you’ll recover in time, then you just do it. drumming helps. since it’s a link, the super is done quite late.

I’m a new remy player and working on buffering and partitioning, but I can’t seem to get down a rapid fire for Remy’s LoV’s. I know the method to charge then go forward and quickly move the stick back and press punch or kick to launch the LoV and be charging while it comes out, but you can only do so many with that. Granted it’s faster than just throwing out LoV’s, but I played a remy on 2df and he was completely firing them out. Whenever a low lov would hit another would immediately coming out following a high LoV. I’m just looking for a few tips on this.

you are on the right track…all it takes is more practice though and make your charging back faster…you will get a hang out of it

I really really need charge buffering help. I can’t do rapid fires or(unrelated but similar) urien double tackles at all. I do OK currently but i really want to be able to throw em faster. The best i’ve ever done is gotten a light and a heavy boom to combo but that was like twice only

I’ve been meaning to pick up Remy, I’ve dabbled in him before but I tend to play keep away more than I’d like to, even though he’s got some interesting tricks.

I’m sorry if this has been explained before, but this is a 56 page thread so it’s not easy to find something specific. I read this in regards to multiple Sonic Booms (They’re not LOV’s they never will be LOV’s, they will be and forevermore Sonic Booms)

i dont really fully understand your question so i’ll just write a whole bunch of stuff concerning it…

the charge times for all LOV’s are the same

BUT…

using the japanese method of throwing a LOV, it cuts down the charge time for the next LOV from like 1,2 frames of charge to zero…

the frame rate for each animation for each version of LOV is different tho in that remy will be stuck in an animation longer or shorter to complete throwing the LOV depending on what button u pressed.

if u charge a LOV and throw it using the jap method with the short kick version immediately after (if done correctly) u will have enough charge stored for a high LOV at any strength.

this method doesnt work correctly for the jab version of the LOV because since the total frame rate is like 7 or 8 (i think) u wont have enough time to charge another LOV while u throw the first one… u’ll have to keep charging for another 1 to 2 frames.

the way rapid fire works with remy, and multiple shoulder tackles with urien works is that inorder for the next attack to come out u must have stored enough charge WHILE your doing a move… so whenever u see remy rapid fire LOV’s the player is charging a LOV while he’s performing one… once u do the motiion of the LOV and u dont have enough stored it’ll stop. but if u charged correctly it’ll come out.

its possible to…
throw a short LOV… walk forward a bit… then throw another short… walk forward a bit… then throw another short LOV over, and over and over again because if u do a perfect charge through one short LOV than it will be stored for a little more than two seconds allowing u throw a LOV, step forward and UOH and then do an crouching short into EX low LOV… and all this time u r also free to parry if u decide not to do any of the following after the LOV.

i dont think dashes store charge forever, stored charge “goes away” after a set time limit.

I’ve tried to do this, but I play on a pad so I don’t if it’s possible on pad or not. But to walk you through what I do: Charge back, LK Sonic Boom, immediately after doing LK Sonic Boom I charge back, this is full screen distance, as the Sonic Boom is about to hit I try to do HP Sonic Boom and it never comes out. I mean, as soon as I do the LK Sonic Boom, I’m charging back, I’m charging back as he’s doing the move, I’ve got it charged, but I cannot get multiple sonic booms going.

Another question, any good combos or tricks to use with his Cold Blue Kick?
