Everdred Teaches Remy

Unless it’s a cross over stomp, then holding block one way will get you hit. What I have learned from having played Sanchez N00000x times, when you see the stomp coming, wait until it’s right above you, then if say Alex is coming from the left side of you, tap right, and vice versa. Since you’re doing it when Alex is right above you, if the stomp lands infront of you then you will automatically block, and if it happens to cross you over then you will parry instead.

I watched some vids with Pierrot and I think that every time I saw him hit with a air-to-air fierce, he juggled with cbk instead of rrf. doesn’t that do less damage? is there a particular reason why he does this?

Well the typical combo is j.hp, cbk, RRF… (and I think you can do it in some cases even when not in the corner if you dash and partition the RRF)

I haven’t seen any examples of it, but maybe he does it for better spacing/control/more time on the ground to charge or do whatever… Most top remy players I see land a j.hp, cbk, follow up with an RRF of some sort or at least look like they tried to.

Lol, how many “Top Remy Players” have you seen.

For RRF to work after CBK midscreen you have to Kara RRF. If you’re in the corner you don’t have to Kara.

I know that, but Pierrot never did an rrf after the cbk, so what would he gain from that?

Sorry, that comment was meant for Mechanica. Can’t help you out with the Pierrot situation.

good to see this thread is still being kept alive = )

If the air fierce hits right, sometimes Pierrot goes for the dash-in partition flashkick after a cbk. Not exactly easy to do, but it’s possible.

Also, if you weren’t charging when you hit the air to air fierce, cbk should be the reflex follow-up. It’s just about the same damage as flashkick. Or take a step forward and jab them into a reset, then mix it up. blah blah blah I’m going to shut up now

You mean this?

At 1.26. Yeah, that was dope.
I need to start doing that.

Also, quick question, whos got the craziest Remy in terms of partitioning and close combat agression? Yokoyama plays kinda how I want to play, but there arent many videos of him.

I must say that remy is probally the only character that I don’t watch match vids anymore to learn from. Everything the top “jap” players or even decent U.S players do seem so simple and sometimes to risky. But however Yokoyama has a pretty good remy, he is still top on my list.

The easiest way to land the cr.fierce/j.fierce, cbk, rrf combo is to kara the cbk and the rrf with mp…

Yeah, that’s the combo.

RAGE: I really wish there were more Yokoyama vids. I only have 2. He does play a pretty solid, safe, and consistent game. Do you have more of him on your hdd you’d like to share? Besides him vs necro and ryu?

This is just a bit of crap because I’m bored.

Imagine if Remy could:

*Cold Blue Kick in the air.

*Have Blue Nocturne as a special move instead of a super (you would have to change the retaliation). Also it wouldn’t cost life to use, but does rubbish damage (probably just used to knock opponents away).

*Have the combo from Blue Nocturne as Super Art III (make it similar to Elena’s Super Art II Brave Dance or Yun’s Super Art II Sourai Rengeki).

*Actually gain an decent amount of meter for throwing Light Of Virtues.

*Balanced defense (how the hell can this guy be weaker than Yun, Yang and Twelve?).

*Balanced damage output (not broken high amounts of damage dealt but a reasonable amount).

*Have a decent taunt (more stun per hit, 4 taunts per round).

Like I said, I was bored. I was just sitting down thinking about things Remy could have that won’t break the game.

It’s easier than that. How about just:

-cbk even to positive frames on HIT, same as now on block

-take ken’s damage

-gain more meter with lov’s

-crouching forward better on hit and block

I’d be more than happy with just the first one.

Blue Nocturne may be the second shittiest Super Art after Q’s Total Destruction.
I wanna learn how to use it though.

We all have at one point or another. Then we stopped. Q’s TD is actually better. Blue Nocturne IS the shittiest super in the game. Maybe if it had 2 bars, worked on air attacks and consistently juggled them (like makoto’s), and didn’t get interrupted by very quick multi-hit moves. Like, it parries and that’s it from your opponent. Just cancels what they are doing, or hits in 1 frame. But alas, if if if.

Yeah…after watching Pierrot fight that Q player I say although Blue Nocturne is a crap super it’s probably pretty useful against Q. Q can’t get near you any ways and if you Blue Nocturne a random dash punch you’re gonna do big damage to him off of one small bar. The super full on does nearly half life on most characters and even a fully taunted Q will take heavy damage.

I only got one suggestion that would make Remy top tier.

-Remy wasn’t French.

That Pierrot versus Pierre match was so nice to watch. Long time that I’ve actually had fun watching a recent match.

Okay, a few questions.

Is it possible to j.HP, cr.HP, LK Cold Clue Kick, dash towards, Supreme Rising Rage Flash?

Why don’t I see Remy’s doing j.HP, Cr.HP combos?

I haven’t really seen a super-mobile and close-combat Remy. Is the any players that can be reccomended?

Iwst, I like that LP LOV dash up Rising Rage Flash, that you do. Its sexy.

I do love the damage it does. Actually, if they would’ve made the input for it just a half circle, or something to that effect, it would be better. One fluid motion would make it better since it’s a parry. You do have a point though about using it against Q.
