Everdred Teaches Remy

You can in a way. You have to pratice it hardcore. I’m working on it myself right now

ei guys foes the 5 hit combo(jumping HP,cr MP,LoV,cr LP,RRF) on the thehy vid works in all the other characters?i know you can execute this thru buffering…
and about the reset in the said vid…do you guys how to execute it properly?is there nothing the opponent can dowhen you execute these resets?

There are many combinations to create a 5/6 hit combos, after you practice for a while they will become second nature, the one in the thehy video just being one of them, it really depends on the character you are fighting which combination you should use. Although the one shown in that video works ok, it’s not really wise to randomly jump in at an enemy and HP unless you have a good chance for it to hit.

As for the resets, they do not work very well unless the enemy is ducking almost the whole time (like in the video with chun li as the enemy) and not doing anything, you can attempt them, but you’re more likely to get hit than not if you do.

I though it only work on shoto’s in the corner

naysay u need to answer back on fucking im… pissing me off (me at my maddest)

urge to kill rising… where r u naysayism?

Hehe, I just watched that episode the other day… Gotta love the Simpson’s Halloween specials…

it can be done…i do this when i knockdown someone in the corner and right after thier recovery i throw a low LoV…they usually parry this specially the ones who parry too much…then i jump at them and nail them…they have some hard time of deciding to parry the LoV or parry th jumping attack…actually i leave them with no choice… what i usually do is the basic 3 hit combo…im asking about the one in the vid coz it does more damage and in case i have no super gauge (coz i usually Jumping HK them the Super)i can use this combo…

i hate kens… specially the ones who rely on poking you and pressure you too much coz they take advantge of the fact you’re charging…i want to kick their butts…id rather play Alexs or Hugos or Dudleys…i can win against them…but this kind of ken really gets through my nerves

umm, i didn’t say “it can’t be done” i said don’t do it randomly, only when you have a good chance, throwing a low LoV when the opponent is recovering is one of the ways I mean, there are MANY opportunities to jump in, just don’t do it randomly. I find it kind of fun to play with good kens, most of them try to parry everything you do, use this to your advantage ;D If you stand around charging, then you’re going to get owned big time, try to charge partition most of the time, don’t stand around charging.

yeah, i see your point…what im just saying is that its a good oppurtunity… i guess that’s why i get owned…i always charge instead of partitioning it…i realized it yesterday…coz i really think about my matches against kens trying to analyze what i did wrong…any pointers in randomizing attacks?

It’s koo, I used to do the same thing, but most people playing against remy expect you to act like guile, although Remy is like 10x better than guile, so try not to play like guile (crouching, or standing around charging). My style of play is aggresive, so I’m always moving forward and charging while attacking. Try learning all the 3-4-5-6 hit combos there are, and the different way to achieve them and what, if any, SA you can connect from them, this part requires a lot of practice, learning what works and with which character, since not all techs work with all characters (since some are shorter than others and some can just duck over st. LoV). So the biggest pointer I can give you, PRACTICE.

guile > remy

which guile? there’s different versions of guile (diff SF games) and only one Remy

Actually…

whats the deal with these remys in the jap ranbat vids whiffing the jumping hp and hk, landing, and getting away with cr. lk > rrf, or a free throw if theyre close enough?

do you guys get away with this mess also?

must be some kind of wierd recovery property cuz it looks so fucken…sick!!

I posted 2 examples on the yahoo group for anyone who wants to see what it looks like :stuck_out_tongue: gets obssesed with making vids The second vid is more acurate to what he is talking about, either way it’s two different ways to fake the opponent and get free hits/throws.

The first method is done by pressing HP or HK in the air right before landing, the animation will be interrupted as you land and the hit wont go through, and if the opponent attempted to parry it, or even if they didn’t, your more than likely have a free hit/throw.

With the second method you must keep in mind that with jumping HP and jumping HK the animation will stay longer than than it actually hits. Just practice the timing until you get it just right.

Sorry about the black lines in the vids, i’m recording from my tv so it does that…

Two questions:

The silly one:
Would Blue Nocturne be worth using against Yun? I figure if you have bar, that makes the Yun player weary and more likely to go for the command grab.

The real one:
Now I know you can connect two SAI’s in the corner, but can you connect anything else after a SAI in the corner? RRF’s don’t seem to work, but I figure if two SAI’s work something else has gotta work too.

  1. Blue Nocturne is NEVER worth of using. SA2 has great startup and it can beat Yun on geneiJin, so it’s not worth of SA3, cus yun’ve go also a command throw and a whole new combo after it.
  2. I think you can connect rrf in the corner but only if opponent is already stunned (I’ve seen it in some combovideo), but I don’t know is it can be done without stun gauge full.
  1. If you have someone juggled in the corner, and not all the LOV’s of SA1 hit, you may be able to juggle them w/ a CBK (strength depends on positioning). This doesn’t happen very often to me, so I can’t say for sure how you could set it up, but I have done it once or twice before.
