What if they throw out a j.Rh or j.FP, Im guessing their attack would win over the jab. So would this be “only” used to counter air parry attempts?
I don’t really understand why mp kara UOH would have less frames than the hk version, while they both travel the same distance. Maybe it has something to do with the normals frame rate you are canceling…mp has a startup of 7 frames while hk has a startup of 10 frames…but then again arent you canceling the first frame of the move to get the kara uoh?? That really makes no sense
When it come to the kara throw, I think thats just capcom way to try and balance things out.
the frame difference between a mp karaUOH and a hk kara UOH is visibly noticable. a normal mp is faster than a normal hk, so im guessing thats the best explanation for that. hell if i know why thats really the case. im just making an observation.
try it out on practice mode.
starting from one side of the screen, it takes six normal UOH to make it to the other side. the sixth normal UOH will hit the dummy. same conditions applied, a mp OR hk karaUOH will hit the dummy on the other side on the fourth UOH. maybe the two karaUOHs dont go the EXACT same distance, but they both hit the dummy on the fourth UOH. this is where the 2/3 distance difference is derived.
well if u use the hk and mp to kara the overhead u can set it up so u can hit from farther away on wake up after u lov. then replace a kara uoh with a normal one from that distance and u can whiff it into something else.
u get more reach with the hk kara uoh then the mp one. u know if u did the hk kara uoh correctly if the cloud of dust is left at remy’s feet when he jumps (i think).
if u do a lov as a meaty on wake up it doesnt matter how short a character is they’ll still have to block or parry it. they wont be able to duck it if u have it on them as they r rising… the timing is different for every character of course.
everyone has to stand on wake up, right? doesnt chun wake up ducking, or is that a myth?
if they have to block or parry it on wake up they can still low block, but you see the standing frames first and then the down/back block frames almost simultaneously.
i think thats what i was getting at. should give enough time to dash in and land a patented karaUOH to SA2.
lovs make up for the fact that remy shouldnt be upclose for any extended period given his limited ability to punish upclose after a parry when compared to ken, chun, or other upper tier characters. maybe i should take my own advice and let the light of virtue lead the way.
im a big fan of testing the tendencies of ppl i play with how they negotiate lovs under varying degrees of pressure- far away, midscreen, upclose, or after remys weak ass neutral throw.
Does any1 know if close s.FP is a good anti air for ken j.mk crossup?
I know it works good for shotos airial hurricane kicks. Sometimes I get a knockdown and sometimes I get a reset…whats up with that?
Ya’ll all suck, cause none of ya’ll were at evo. There was this Hawaiian remy player who made it to the semi finals. I didn’t get out of my pool. I had Knit (Japanese Yun) and KOFIEND in my pool . I’ll be ready next year. Tourney play is so much nirve racking than casuals. I plan to start hitting up all the majors now. Also, after evo I learn some new Remy set-ups, it’s hard to explain but I’ll get it on tape eventually (Really orignal shit, mind games).
I wasn’t able to attend EVO because I just shelled out alot of dough for school. I plan on being there next year though
Is it possible to back dash and set-up rapid fire lovs?? I can do it out of a forward dash without a problem, but for some reason I can’t do it with a back dash. Is it not the same concept???
Are you that fat black dude?? If so your Remy sucks. Although having KOFiend’s insane Yang and a Knit’s Yun in your first pool isn’t exactly lucky.
I agree that playing in Evo is way nerve racking. Was my first tourney too. I played like shit during pools but was able to hold my own in casuals. My Remy did better than my Q overall.
I asked you if you were the fat black guy because there were only 3 Remy players at Evo. Me, that guy, and the Hawaiin guy. The Hawaiin player who made it far, he had charge partition down very well. He was able to do RRF after High LOV, dash in EX low Lov, EX High EX Low Lov combo, etc. Best Remy I have seen outside of Japan.
Get off my balls, for your information I was playing on a broken stick and was hella nervous. If you ask anyone who knows me, my performace at evo was nothing like me normally. I couldn’t do anything. I just choked under pressure. I did get picked for a reason, I’ve beaten top players with Remy in the past.
You know what? I would like to see how well you would of did in the 16 man qualifier. You talk alot of fuckin shit. You need to shut the fuck up.
Why in the fuck didn’t you say this to my face. I bet you never would, you will get zzz’ed the fuck out.
