Everdred Teaches Remy

whats the timing and button+motion command to pull that off?

i was wrong about x box live playing remy on there with a decent connection is still pretty good. i’ve had some great matches with some really admirable players on there.

xbox live 3s gets my low tier endorsement.

I would imagine similar to how Ken’s cr lk lp lk xx SAIII is done. I’m still working on the motion command. I can actually do the super motion fast enough on gamepad right on the lk, but that’s gamepad and much easier for me and won’t mean much in the arcade.

:lp::d::df::r::lp::d::df::lk::r: + :p:

Possibly that.

With enough practice on timing, it could be a reliable little combo that just might up his game. The timing isn’t too strict, it’s a little hard to fit the motions in there since you have to tap the three buttons pretty fast and have to be careful to avoid crouching by accident.

inputing the super motion like that interupts the string of hits.

the reason why the shoto super (cr. lk lk lk xx SA) is so useful is because it has low hit confirmation, and you are already in the cr. position that you have to start out in to input the super motion, making it much easier to pull off and very reliable.

thats the main problem with remy’s version of this combo.

IF you can make the other guy block high for fear of a low hit confirm AND you get close enough AND you can pull it off pat yourself on the back.

its possible to tap the buttons at a certain rhythm that will give you just enough extra time after all three hits are confirmed to input the the super motion. listen for it.

Yes I know all about Ken’s amazing hit confirming skills no need to lecture me about that.

Alright if that string of motions doesn’t work, then I’ll just continue doing it as I was doing before, right after all the string of hits. Regardless, I think it will be hard catching anyone with it in battle itself which is why I was asking.

lets be scientific about this…

if it works the way YOU do it, keep it to yourself. no one cares. if you know how to get the same result every time THEN share it with the world, and try not to take criticism to the heart.

all i did was point out the fact that your suggestion for that particular combo’s execution was off, and that the combo is generally useless and contrived compared to ken’s.

wat i do with the lp’s is this:

lp + lp + SA2 or SA1

i dont know if wat you guys are tlking about works but i think lp’s 2x is more easier to do

Keep it myself? I was trying to help. Anyway I tried it out and yeah it def interupts the combo, but I can do it easily enough right after the lk regardless. Well I guess I’ll take your second advice then;

Get good at the game, lp,lp,lk xx qcfx2 + P

I was wondering if it’s a good hit confirm, and if you manage to land it and can do the super motion right afterwards, I suppose it would be. Great when mixed with cr. lk xx SAI

aright, my bad.

that combo looks so damn sweet with SA2.

do you guys feel guilty using rapid fire every round of every match? i went to family fun arcade last night and made a decent streak till i started feeling like everyone is starting to get pissed coz of rapid fire. i got off from some really close calls using it and i understand it’s frustrating being on the receiving end of this. but as soon as i dropped it and went for head to head style of fighting, that’s when i lost my pace and the rest of the night. so yeah, is there any unspoken ethics about this?

dont worry about it, they’re all remy haters over there.:smokin:
i play at family fun too and i dont use rapid fire. i get what ur saying tho about how ppl get when u use rapidfire. to me it really isnt all that helpful cuz i cant turn it on and off in the heat of the momment. ppl just super jump it at the right time and punish.
but if you got it down and ur zoning them out with lovs, go for it. let them cry about it all they want.

seen some japanese remy vids and that definitely told me to go all out! i’d like to go back there everynight but it’s almost an hour trip. phd, can we play sometime when i go there again?

i must have been put on this planet to play remy at family fun then cuz i live like 5minutes away. i go there and end up staying for 30minutes at a time during mid day to about 5p cuz im always working night shifts, and cuz competition is stubborn…i love repeat customers who love getting served.
theres almost always decent competition there. i go just after opening sometimes and richard, who works there, (kinda short dude with glasses) usually plays me a few rounds in between helping ppl at the counter. apparently family fun is some kind of U.S. 3s utopia. its worth the trip on weekend nights for sure.
im going to get saturdays off altogether, or just get morning shifts so i can get in on the ranking battles this summer. lots of ppl have been showing up, it starts ON TIME :wow:, and you get decent competition. lemme know when ur gunna show up.

what time does it open by the way? i’d like to join the rankings too but too bad no one’s gonna drive my lame ass over there on a regular basis. i can always take the 2 hour bus drive to get there but my problem is going back. ah well. if ever you make it, i’ll be the RED HEAD/white pants REMY oh yeah i’ll be there july 6th around 7 pm

opens around 12p. i use blonde hair, blue jeans remy. ill probably show up around 7p too.

k meet you there. lets serve sonic booms and kacknives with fries

stupid fucken necro player at the head2head cabinet farthest from the door…took my last quarter.

no game havin mutha. i was begining to get beligerent. it was time to leave.

nice close games my man. but it was unfair. if you plan on playing intoxicated again next time, at least get me a beer, too. crap, when you left my tricep gave way and it was all hell after that. even scrubs were beating me. i’m not used to US joysticks… i feel like cleaning a toilet bowl specially when i hyperbomb with alex.

after playing you i think i understand what everdred’s talking about, attacking the places where you think they might dash in. anyways, next time we gotta go to el torito happy hour before 3s. pretty sure it ends at 730p. its in the same parkinglot as family fun at the opposite end facing devonshire st. it took me a while to get used to dash-in partitioning with remy on u.s. sticks. gotta hold the stick a little lower to get that quick wrist snapping action.

yeah… you asked me why i use LK when i do the CBK right? coz opponents can just wait for you and parry when you do far CBKs. that’s why i use LK so i hit them when they dash but whiff from a safe distance when they’d rather wait. you remember how i’d let you do a sonic boom and ex flash kick when i predict you’re gonna do a CBK from afar? i don’t think i’ll go there for a while. it’s really hella far. unless i go around 12 pm and head home around 5 but i doubt there’d be plenty action. or i can go late and spend the rest of the night in a motel and head home the next morning.

I think if I get this redone, I’ll add EXE and Ryo-Chin for Japan and Kamui and PHD for USA.

PHD, is that you in the battle rank vid?
