Everdred Teaches Remy

can someone tell me whre i can download everdread’s vid from combovideos.com…im kinda confused where to find it there…

roundhouse

thought so. gotta double down on that move for damn sure. im only starting to see where it is useful to remys overall game…if only i can stop it from canceling into the taunt though (butter fingers).

Naysayism (11:17:08 AM): well, if I have to fight flash g or wong
Naysayism (11:17:11 AM): got any tips?
Novice Slacker (11:18:26 AM): with flash he’ll expect u to throw a specific high move and simply parry into super
Novice Slacker (11:19:30 AM): so if u push him back with good lovs and randomly dash in for throw if he expects u to retreat thats how i beat him.
Naysayism (11:19:52 AM): ight
Novice Slacker (11:20:04 AM): i gotta play keep away then switch up by coming forward either as a move or an attack
Novice Slacker (11:20:17 AM): i dash in then back theres nothing they can do
Novice Slacker (11:20:39 AM): so your dancing between your 2-3 ranges that u have.
Novice Slacker (11:21:15 AM): double back/forward dash is the proper ranges u should switch up fighting from
Novice Slacker (11:22:02 AM): or back dash forward
Novice Slacker (11:22:13 AM): or forward and then back
Naysayism (11:22:23 AM): ight
Naysayism (11:22:59 AM): so like would throwing a lov, dash foward, dash back to lov
Naysayism (11:23:08 AM): would that be effective against them?
Novice Slacker (11:23:14 AM): yea
Naysayism (11:23:23 AM): ight
Novice Slacker (11:23:24 AM): but do low lov’s
Naysayism (11:23:31 AM): why low?
Novice Slacker (11:24:59 AM): stops him from ducking under and sweeping if he’s in range. if he’s out of range to sweep thats when u do the high ones because it’ll catch there jumps
Naysayism (11:25:10 AM): good point
Naysayism (11:27:17 AM): what about justin?
Naysayism (11:28:09 AM): how should I approach him
Novice Slacker (11:29:30 AM): haha justin is a machine
Naysayism (11:29:45 AM): hey I might get pooled up with him!
Naysayism (11:29:52 AM): that would fuckin’ suck
Naysayism (11:30:24 AM): anything you can tell me about his patterns and shit
Naysayism (11:30:28 AM): or what he looks out for
Novice Slacker (11:31:57 AM): he does the same thing over and over again and even if he’s getting hit with it he takes the damage if he cant avoid it and sees what the most damaging thing u can do to him without meter is. he did this with me while i fought his hugo. he would constantly be aggressive with jump ins and would then catch cr. hp in rrf. then at the end of the last round of fighting him i got showy and tried red parrying his sa3-> i die.
Naysayism (11:32:35 AM): oh ok
Naysayism (11:33:42 AM): I’ll brb in a hour or so, I got class soon
Naysayism (11:33:50 AM): thanks for the info
Naysayism (11:33:53 AM): I’ll rep remy hard
Naysayism (11:33:54 AM): lol
Novice Slacker (11:34:06 AM): next round since he knows now he takes away all my advantages that HE gave me during the last fight i have to then pull out another bag of tricks that end up with me resorting to more difficult and sparse ways of landing damage (footsie cbk/ low lov/cr roundhouse) since he decided that he will always be defending when jumping in against it no matter what so i know he doesnt want to come in and attack then that leaves me with the option to attack the area where he lands randomly… since its a draw when it comes to anti airs versus jump ins with hugo. so why risk the damage if u know u dont need to be in like that? catch him when he goes high with cr roundhouse, when he goes low cbk him. justin would do cr. roundhouse to come in because it covers so much.

hey do you guys know how to win against yun’s genei shit?..der’s this one guy here that uses yun and i swear i can beat him no thanks to that stinkin’ super of his…i know how he thinks already…the prob is i can’t do anything about the jin…pls. help me out…

u gotta really keep on yun knock him down and do wake up throw games, if u sense he’s going to jump do cr hp to hit him while he jumps up THE FIRST time. the second time he’ll have advantage to mix up with a throw instead of going up for a dive again.

he has a smaller throw range then remy so all u need to worry about is if your out of his throw range and cl jab range is a random low forward jab lunge punch from him.

when he has genei jin one of my sources told me that they look at his meter to determine to stop blocking and attacking back.

like at first just block low then when his meter is about to end near 25% on the timer u can start coming out and attacking since he’ll probably want to get some damage in with a throw.

What I do is usaly rush him even so when his Sa3 is all charged up I star playing realy turtle and punshing stuff like qcf p(not sure what version of P) with a RRF or a trow I prefer a trow since is safer. In the case that they are full screen and they are desperate(SA3 wonder twin activate) I star dashing back like crazy and block low or hi when they get frusted they will try to grab u so I usaly trow an RFF ex.( When time is almost over for the SA3 around 1/4)

Also if he activates from said distance and I know he will dash I trow lov hi ex version or if they going to jump like crazy so they can dive at u trow an early RRF EX.

Another thing if u do a lot air to air against Yun they migth get paranoid because their stun bar migth be at the middle (j.Hp has a lot of stun)

In few words if u can do big combos do it Yun stamina isn’t that great either.

any advice against pyro’s yun?

i’ve never played him but i’m sure the reason u bring his name up is because he’s a good player. i have seen some vids of him and he looks like a very good yun. i wouldnt know what i would do against him since i havent played him.

Back from showdown, I was in one of the hardest pools (damn Justin Wong).

Highlights: Me VS. Combofiend mirror match

My friend didn’t tape the matches… but they were great… but I do have some matches of me playing.

share the info we r all glad to see new remy vids.

i dont think justin picked yun against your remy because of what i said earlier… if he did ISNT THAT COOL?

LoL!! I am not sure about u guys but I hate mirror matches to death especialy a Remy one is so reatarded sometimes it become a sf2t moment.

do you guys have some techniques to do the rapid fire FASTER? i always screw it up during matches…takes me so much fucking time to pull it out…i also nid to learn this to punish other players here specially genei jin yuns…

when the first lov is about to hit try throwing another one.

I am not sure if this helps after my oponent is in the corner I trow a lov afterwards, I trow a mp standing or croucnhing(even if it dosen’t reach) then I trow another lov. In few words I use mp to time my next lov after the third lov I continue trowing lov without timing it since u can then do rapid lovs.

Is it me but everytime I do the machine gun I go fowards a little bit?

No…remy does go forward a little bit when he does the rapid fire…

Actually it wasn’t like that at all. We were just playing mind games and trying to link close foward all day.

I was trying to show off my tricks like walk foward sonic booms and shit

Old news, already stated threw page 1-7…

Honestly, you really don’t need it at all. It’s good to know but, really not needed for competive gaming in tournies.

its good to do rapid fire and spaz on the timings and speeds… its like a mini game the opponent eventually gets hit by one… then that throws off there timing and they get hit by more…

Rapid fire is useless against seasoned players. They’ll just sit there and parry them all or jump forward while parrying them all.

It’s fun to do once in a while if you want to fuck around with the opponent (and they know you’re just screwing aorund). Don’t expect to be winning any matches with rapid fire though.

Good advice though, start with lp/lk, work your way up to hp/hk and mix in EX LoVs when you have meter
