…You mean 16.5 bits, right?
Still, I’d rather wait for Dream Match 13. Old school battle system for the untimely win! Though this game is sexy.:wgrin:

They already broke the rule of 3 games sharing one system so we might get something new for dream match.
No, Thank you.
I don’t know, but I thought the reason she was solid was with the crazy cancels 2k2 had. If she retains all her 2k2 stuff minus the ability to cancel, I think she’d be solid mid to high tier, instead of top. Her normals were never too great with exception of her air butt bounce.
The only reason she sucks ass in 2k3 and XI is because they slowed her and the Psycho Ball down to hell. That, plus making her Psycho Sword into a massive joke.
Athena was never really meant to be a combo-crazy character anyway.
Pretty much, so I want her to be atleast like that. I think they went too far with the nerfs she received in XI.
It’s too sweet…
You will also have graphics that don’t have shitty horizontal screen lines covering up the nice sprites. It also even kicks more ass on a 65" 1080p t.v…
The KOFXI nerfs are no different from the 2k3 nerfs dude in regards to Athena.
Shes got something 2k3 Athena doesnt…the LDM.
wow those sprites just scream quality. the only thing that annoys me beyond hell is the fucking gay bell-bottom pants that practically everyone has on. wtf? small price to pay for new sprites but i’ve always hated that
I’ve said this before…it reflects Japanese culture…
sorry i must’ve missed it
I don’t think it’s that hard at all to wanna reject SFIV. Even the Capcom fans are disappointed by it. I personally would rather play SF HD because I’m not a fan of 3D games just like most of the people here. And like someone already said, SFIV looks like SFEX and it LOOKS like it plays like SFEX, despite people saying otherwise.
This is not targeted at you, but all you need to know is that haters will bash; end of story. No need to wonder why people bash on things (like how most of the posts here are questioning why). Capcom and SNK are two of the biggest companies in their field, just like Pepsi/Coke, Intel/AMD, Nvidia/ATI(AMD), etc. There’s gonna be people who prefer one over the other.
I’m wondering why it had to happen now and not in any previous games. I can see that it looks nice on Vanessa or Ash ('cause he’s a queer) but not everyone else unless this is actually KOF 1970’s.
dude benimaru as been wearing tanktops since 94. yeah thought he was a fagot back then, though it seemed he was actually a player (yeah right, damn jpn metros). shit, i thought kyo looked like a fag back in 94, same for iori in 95, thought he looked like a fag as well. now, ive grown to like their unique designs. cept benimaru, and now ash. k was forgivable too, just barelly though. with kyo and iori, i could forgive them, with beni and ash, cmon, they scream out gay, even in benis deputable case.
I think SNK has been doing a good job with graphics ever since the beginning. You just need to look at other SNK games and not base everything on KOF. For example, RB2/MOTW, AOF3 and Last Blade have pretty nice sprites and animation, and they are all on an outdated hardware.
The thing that plagued KOF in terms of graphics (other than hardware) is the very thing that make KOF unique, its annual renditions. They had to draw all new backgrounds, 5+ new character sprites, invent/copy new gameplay, change existing characters (Robert is a fucking different character every year), compose new music, write new stories, etc. This is not easy to accomplish in one year and is not possible for a big overhaul (although KOF96 came close). I think this is the main reason why KOF suffers since the beginning. KOFXII just proves this, at least in the graphics department.
The only character that I thought were queers are Benimaru and Ash. And I have no idea why you would think Kyo or K’ are close to being that. Iori may seem queer, but that’s because he’s in a punk/rock band.
But ASH… I think he’s one of the reason why I stopped playing KOF after 2002. I just don’t see any reason whatsoever and I am still shocked by the fact that a queer is the main character (never done in a fighting game before unless I’m missing something). To me, this is probably the worst SNK decision ever! It’s a lot worst than if Remy was the main character in SF3. I have nothing against gay people (I think Benimaru/Remy are cool). I would have been fine if Ash wasn’t the main character.
And I’m actually fine with the flares in XII; I just don’t see the real reason behind it.
a) There’s no proof at this point that Ash is " a queer" (your words). Lots of people think Beni is gay, and he isn’t.
b) K’ a skinny guy with his belly exposed (and follows the clichd japanese lonely-kinda-emo thing). That’s why some people think he’s “kinda gay”.
c) Learn to fucking relax. Ash not only is extremelly popular (most popular fighting game character in Japan in an Arcadia poll - unlike K’, which was never popular and is considered a failure by SNK themselves), he also plays great.
Like I say…it reflects the whole metrosexual Japanese culture hence thats why they are doing it…
Guys SNK caters to the country’s stereotypes/culture…have you not seen that???
They have their Chinese drunken master…their blonde haired typical American Terry Bogard, their Team Japan with pretty boy out of high school Kyo Kusanagi, the stereotypical Karate person named Kim Kaphwan out of Korea…
The stereotypical ghetto thuggish sports/Ebonics speaking American black/white people in Team USA…The stereotypical Mexican girl in Angel- sexy but looks slutty, The Mexican Grappler in Ramon…
And more Japanese Metrosexual Issei looking pretty boys with Ash and Benimaru…
Coincidence guys?? I think not…
K’ needs to be better in KOF XII(if he’s there). Did you know that the guy who runs fightersgeneration thinks K’ is a sexy man?
And yeah jap games as a whole are stereotypical. Japan is a weird country.
