Extended for sale. PM me
Wednesday is SE day. Promised for a long while and looks like I have time to make good of it. My work is coming down to 9-5 as of maybe a week or so away and I can dedicate a lot more time to this. Hell it beats work. In talks with our graphics department and have worked a way out to get custom graphics underneath the dustwashers which will be clear. I keep thinking of using coloured, frosted acrylics but I truly believe that there is no benefit to this other than removing possibilities for artwork further down the line. If you want a pink TE cover, get clear and fit pink graphic underneath. Anyways…

Did not get time to set the strip heaters up today, the guy thats gonna do the first few for me, to show how its done left at 5… But started sooner than i thought. He said that the actual fold itself will be the easiest thing hes ever had to fold so I have high hopes. The Sanwa buttons will certainly just fit in there nice and tight - havent tried the stock ones but do people actually have SE’s that arent modded? At least here anyway. We gonna fold it one degree more than the actual slope and see whether the buttons hold enough down, this will act as a press…
If that fails, I have a few mounting ideas that im going to have a go at. Monday onwards. Have a good weekend. Gintor, bar the plex your stick is complete this weekend. NEED GUTS
Forgot to mention stainless countersinking now available. My current TE with the 'service. Same diameter as standard bolts, Totally flush with plexi and rustfree. Good for sweaty buggers
Does it work well with just the corner screws in?
Can the original style bolts still be put on top of the countersunk holes so I have the option of which screw/bolt to use?
Finally, any very close up pictures of a bezel replacement plexi with rounded edges?
Pending the answers to these questions I am ready to order
Edit: Do I need to keep the steel plate in for the extended plexi (Extended = Art’s definition of extended) or is your plexi strong enough on its own as it’s a lot thicker?
Hey kree, yeah the 4 corner bolts are sufficient to hold all down therefore I could get these cut with just 4 bolt holes in them. In regards to the extended, the rounded edges are causing me and my CNC a little problem mainly due to heat and chipping. But we working on it some point next week (again). Youd need the steel plate it regardless I think as there wouldnt be another way of holding the stick on (the tabs on the base of the plate) and also the art work would more than likely sag underneath without the support.
Ill answer your PM later today too…
Extended fitted with countersunk holes. Gintor receiving 2 of these in the next 2 days…

Gives you an idea anyway… It’s rather nice not having those bloody bolts sticking out interfering.
Cheers doomy. How does using the plate work with the extended plexi, as it’s designed to fit in the bezel.
Those countersunk holes look great. Do you have a bunch of artwork saved or do I need to provide my own? I have crappy internet with a 3GB monthly limit so can’t go trawling the web for large images to generate a piece of artwork as I almost hit my limit with normal web browsing
As soon as you get the rounded edges sorted I’ll definitely be ordering an extended plexi, although still undecided about 4 or 6 holes.
Where the bezel fits in (the red flimsy plastic) is an indentation in the main sticks body. Plate fits in there, 2mm gap only all the way round which affects nothing at all as its bolted down. Basically, metal plate slots in the slot thats originally there for the bezel. Hope I’ve explained OK.
That’s perfect, cheers
WOW WOW WOW
listen doomy that looks fukin awesome… r the egdes smoothed out…they look smooted out and nice and shiney…looking very slick
i wanted to ask you something. basically for this plexi size have you got the PSD size or PSD file because i want to order this one but i wana make the artwork first…or is it the same size with the bezel but only without it? cus it doesnt look like the full version taking up the whole front…which i personally dont like…loving this size…also will you be cutting it for me so it fits perfectly??
thanx 4 your help
Thank you! The smoothed out everybody mentioning is a step i am trying to introduce on them. My plexis’ are 3mm thick so hopefully I can angle the edge. If you imagine from the bottom 1mm of straight plexi and then a 2mm section angled at 45 degrees, this is quite hard to achieve, some have been attempted but theres a few issues with the speed of the CNC and the bit we are using. As I said more on that later but dont wait for it
The templates are in the template thread. If you want the extended graphics, use the full plate and bear in mind you will lose 10mm or so around the edges.
And yes the artwork is cut by me if you want it that way.
Just updated very first post for simplicity.
i have big hopes for the SE plexi!!! subscribing ill check this post evreyday
things that are important is that the joystick does not lose height… so dont make the plexi to thick
good luck with SE plexi. I’ll be following this thread as well. Please add more photos
