Europe bulk order for Hayabusa + Kuro - Closed! Items delivered as of 7/5/2014

@LLeg3nd‌
Not a problem, I understand.
It just seems that most people from the Canada group are in the GTA. Unless anyone volunteers, nothing has changed, and I’ll still be the point of contact for Moonchilde. :slight_smile:

To the Canadians @LLeg3nd‌ , @"Scrub Saibot"‌ , @derukun‌ , @Chachaman‌
Alrighty: I’m travelling to the US (visiting Atlanta then Washington DC) at the end of the month. I’m going to look into making an order and getting it shipped to my hotel in Washington, to just bring back (and then ship) for the bunch in Eastern Canada. I should be able to get at least one for each member that has already put themselves on the list, so that’s minimum of 5 already (@Scrub Saibot: I know you put yourself down for 3; not sure I’ll be able to fulfill that directly myself since I’ll be stashing these in my suitcase).

I don’t want to discount Moonchilde‌’s efforts in checking with Hori and providing his help (which I’m totally grateful for); but if I’m able to get an order down, it’ll save Moonchilde‌ the effort of calculating/ordering/shipping, and it’ll save all of us on the receiving end a few dollars as well.

@Moonchilde: Do you remember how long it took Hori to process and ship out your package of Hayabusas? I’d have to time this to make sure it arrives at my hotel in Washington either before or during the 4 days I’ll be staying there. That, and I should confirm with the hotel that it’s ok to receive parcels for guests as well.

Also, have you heard/seen something on the Hori site where if you order more than $100 worth of stuff, you get free shipping?

In my cart:
Ordering 2x Haya and 1x Kuro (subtotal = ~80) gets me $8 in shipping fees.
Ordering 2x Haya and 2x Kuro (subtotal = $99.96) gets me $8 in shipping fees.
Ordering 3x Haya and 1x Kuro (subtotal = ~$110) gets me $0 in shipping fees.

Took me about a week for me to receive my order, I live near Baltimore, D.C. is a hour drives away.

Thanks @Darksakul‌
I’ll probably try to get it ordered about 1 1/2 weeks before I’m due to arrive in D.C. just in case then.

It usually takes something like 5-7 days but this last order that I made there were weather delays. Might want to check out a 10-day nationwide weather forecast or something to see the likelihood of that happening.

@FreedomGundam‌ I got mine pretty quick and the only reason it took longer was because of the weekend. To test out your free shipping over $100 question, I put a FE in my cart and calculated shipping. It was free shipping option, so yeah, I think anything over $100 is free shipping. That’s a pretty fucking sweet deal!

And hey, I don’t mind. It will save everyone some money and I don’t feel discounted at all, after all, the shipping glitch was probably fixed because of me and you.

@FreedomGundam‌ ya man that sounds good i can do that. So just keep me posted on the situation.

The nice thing is that orders over $100 are free shipping so this means that people can skip part 2 of the cost formula since shipping from Hori to me isn’t a factor anymore.

@FreedomGundam That sounds good! If people drop off and you need something to hit the $100 mark, I’ll buy the Kuros if it comes to that.

@LLeg3nd‌ No worries. 3x Hayabusa (the minimum who’ve confirmed in this thread: me, you and Chachaman) and 1x Kuro (which I want) is already over the $100, so we’re cool already.
Gonna finalize my hotel bookings this coming week, and I’ll place an order by the 17th at the latest.

@FreedomGundam, mind if I ask what your doing in DC?

@Darksakul‌
Just visiting, actually. As funny as it might sound, my wife has been obsessed with pandas in the last 8-10 months. She’s been following all the available panda-cams from various zoos around the world, and she practically knows all of the family tree and lineage by heart. So we’re travelling mainly to see various panda cubs: in Atlanta at the Zoo Atlanta to see the twin panda cubs Mei Lun and Mei Huan, then in DC at the National Zoo to see the single panda cub Bao Bao. Obviously, we’ll be visiting other cool places and all when we’re in each city. Any recommendations?

That sounds fun, man. My girl loves pandas too. I just love zoos.

National Zoo in DC is one of the best out there.
Where else to go, it depends on your interests
There is alot at the Smithsonian, which the Zoo is apart of.

There sight seeing, and such. Honestly I haven’t been down to D.C. in quite some time.
But I should brush up on what is down there as the convention I staff for is moving there in two years

I live in Edmonton, not Toronto.

Whoops, sorry. I don’t know why I got the impression you were in Toronto; must’ve gotten you confused with someone else. My bad!

On a side note, I may need to bump up my order date to either later today or early tomorrow. Turns out it might not be as simple to ship to my location in DC, so I’ll be ordering them to ship to my hotel while I’m in Atlanta. Since I’m in Atlanta between the 22nd and leaving the 26th, I’ll need to make sure it gets there before/while I’m there (obviously).

@FreedomGundam Yeah no problem.

Alright. I went ahead and made my order of 5 Hayabusas (myself, @LLeg3nd, @Chachaman, @derukun, and @“Scrub Saibot”) and 1 set of Kuros (myself).

The complication is that my billing and shipping addresses are (obviously) different; they required additional information in regards to the shipping address, which I promptly sent them (I hope a hotel confirmation e-mail is sufficient).

Fingers crossed that this won’t cause any delays in the hotel receiving the package… Will keep you guys updated.

Ok, a quick update:
Hori USA got back to me and told me that my documentation provided is ok.
They will schedule the package to be shipped out on Monday March 17th so that it will arrive during (or just before) my arrival in Atlanta the 22nd.
Will repost here to confirm when the package has actually been confirmed as shipped. :slight_smile:

Ok thx for looking out @FreedomGundam‌
