I actually did some “campaigning” for our scene to 2 unassociated people at John Henry’s last night during and after a hip hop show there. One guy was playing UMK3 and actually had a sheet of paper with him for Scorpion’s moveset. I could tell from that, he’s probably the right kind of person.
Also I could very well be interested in going up to Slugfest.

Hey! Just wanted to pop in really quick with a little update:
We’re still looking for the best new venue. Hopefully something slightly near campus, but any place that’s hype will be considered! Keep your eyes peeled as you make your journeys around town and let me know if you see anything! We’re holding out for a great place, so that’s what’s behind the wait.
Also: Evil Ryu and Oni confirmed! Crazy, huh? There’s still two obvious spots open for other characters on the select screen too, so you never know who those might be!
I’m working something out for a Marvel3 Release Tournament, so keep your eyes peeled for news about that! Keep that fighting spirit! Consider this time a little solo practice time, as the Eugene eSports scene is going to be exploding again the moment we can plan events for the new venue!

Good to hear the dream is still alive! I saw one place like right next to Jamesons that is for lease. but I don’t know exactly how big the building is, but going by the length of the front, it must be big. and possibly too expensive since it’s been available for awhile. and parking would definitely be an issue. I’ll try to look for anything also whenever I’m around town. You check any listings for spaces to rent?
Oh and Portland definitely held up. Maybe if all the variables were different/better, I would’ve gotten closer to the pot, and maybe our team wouldn’t have gone 0-2 (why did I use Seth???):mad:/sosalty

I’ll keep an eye out. looking for full time renting? Also, I think that if you guys want this to work out, more advertising will be needed in some form. Last tourney was 8 ppl. Maybe more campus advertising, as that’s where I think there is hidden talent plus where we found Keigo.

Yo Shoryuken league, I stopped by your house and nobody was home. but I went on a long walk today and scouted some possible venues by chance.
Tom’s Tapper Tavern. It’s available. Not sure what’s the cost, but it looks exactly like what you might be after.
Action-Rent-All. They moved to some new location, so the old one is up for sale. It’s kind of large, has a big front window, and is right next to U-Haul. Also has a few homeless passerbys.
