I came to ask a similar question. What kind of screws do I need to mount a korean joystick?

a question for everyone else, what’s your average waiting time between shipping and processed? just curious on what kind of wait i’m in for.

im in the philippines and i used EMS. took 1 week and 2 days to arrive here. i guess it’s different for everyone else.

Someone explain the precise method to connecting the stick to a ps3.

Quick question, and to try and keep it brief I’m going to pose it as succinctly as I can: for anyone who uses Crown CWB-203A buttons, do you find them “inconsistent” or like you have to be super meticulous and deliberate with simultaneous button inputs (e.g. 1+2, 1+3+4, etc) in order to get it to properly register them?

I’m using the Omni K-stick (had it for a couple days) and I’ve had ZERO issue with the responsiveness of individual button presses – but in the TTT2 practice mode command playback it’ll show my 1+2 input as say a 2 and THEN a 1+2 immediately afterward, which obviously implies I’m simply hitting the 2 too early, but I’ve never had this issue with any other stick, even mediocre ones with knock off buttons (like the Hori T6).

So again, for those that are experienced with Crown buttons, has anybody else had this issue? It’s not even that it never gives me the simultaneous inputs so much as I just have to hit the buttons abnormally hard to get any consistency out of it. I’d be more willing to allow for the possibility that I simply haven’t broken my muscle memory away from the super responsiveness of Sanwa which is what I’m used to, but again - even with really low grade sticks I don’t recall running in to this problem.

When I get home from work I’ll do some more testing and try mapping commands to the 4 right-most buttons to make sure it’s not possibly just something wonky with the others.

Hold down the turbo button on the back (should be the yellow button farthest to the left, assuming the stick is in your lap) before plugging in to the PS3/360. That worked for me, anyway.

^ Thx for the quick response. Will try that when I head home.

I got curious and tested this quickly (in TTT2 on PS3) with my Saulabi modded with CWB203A buttons. I had no issue consistently inputting 1+2 and only 1+2 without any other button registered. In the rare cases when a single 1 or 2 was registered it was a lazy release of 1+2.
Also tried it with my custom stick that has a noname PCB and Sanwa buttons and had no issue with that either.
So maybe it is the PCB…

Okay just placed an order for some crown fantas. Can anyone answer these questions…

  • Does anyone have a template for a korean stick for drilling holes for stick collar and screw mounting holes?
  • Exact measurements. I see Laugh has pics on etokki but i need the measurements from the mounting plate down (in mm preferably) so i can see just how much clearance i need for the stick. Current case i have about 2 inches of clearance.
  • The collar of the stick, how thick should the mounting panel be to get it flush (with 1/16 plexi). I can take up to 2mm of the collar sticking out. Anymore and it feels weird.

Thanks guys.

Actually, this is a problem specific to TTT2. The game is extremely finicky regarding simultaneous button inputs. I mean you have to be freaking IMMACULATE to get that 1+2 to register as a proper 1+2 in this game. For me it’s always a 1 then a 1+2 since my index is a little faster I guess. Any other game would have registered it as a 1+2 anyway. So annoying.

Appreciate the responses,

@aabyssx that’s what I was afraid of - still looking to do some more testing

@QUEEN I noticed this as well, TTT2 does seem sort of wonky in how it lists off your inputs - that said, the issue is more than just what practice mode is telling me I’m pressing in the onscreen display, I’m physically missing these 1+2’s and what not because the 2 (or occasionally 1) attack is actually coming out instead (or at the very least that’s the input the game is reading first). It’s just strange, either Crown buttons in general are just super inconsistent and temperamental or there is indeed something up with the PCB or something of that nature in the stick itself.

I guess maybe the best way to check it might be to try and throw some Sanwa’s (or just different buttons of any kind) in the same stick to see if I have a similar issue. I did try mapping all my attacks to the 4 buttons to the right side of the stick in the hope that maybe the first four (for whatever reason) were just defective, but to no avail - same issue across all 8 Crowns. Individual inputs are responsive every single time, simultaneous inputs aren’t.

Thanks again for the feedback guys, wasn’t sure how often people checked this thread lol

This might help

I’m sure CUTWEST could answer your questions better

Perfect. All i need is a drilling template for the mount and im set. Thanks.

I am selling my korean parts here:

Laugh, can you say when the next batch of rev. 3 Omni’s are coming out? My money is ready for you!

73 x 50 mm for the mounting holes, 35 mm for the collar, around 14 mm under the top panel should leave 2 mm protruding.

As a side note, you can put a J-stick in a korean panel by simply swapping its default mounting plate with a korean one (tested with a CWL303 mounting plate).

I would buy the Omni case only. Damn the are so good looking.

Hey taeyoung fanta is back up. Sweet

If anyone that purchased the new version of the Omni is willing to part with it/sell, let me know. I’m looking to get some for a friend.

hi i’m newbie in making stick… i have a question if i buy a stick on etokki like sanwa JLF or Myoungshin fanta stick does it include the mounting plate or no? sorry for the noobish question.

Depends on what you mean by “mounting plate”. They both come with a metal plate that is on top of the housing of the joystick., but whether or not you are able to correctly mount the joystick into the case depends on the case itself. The sanwa JLF and the Myounghin fanta have different mounting standards.

You’d have to buy the mounting plate separate for the JLF on etokki. The Korean sticks come with the mounting plate since their part of the stick.
