To better increase communication between the ESC and the community, I am setting up a thread in order to answer questions people might have about events aswell as pivotal news and updates. I believe strongly in improvement whether that be in Street fighter or in business practices and this is just 1 of many initiatives to increase the line of communication.
What this sums up to mean is we had to move the finals from Anime north to an event occurring in August, right now its between two events and I will confirm soon enough. The event in Ottawa is canceled for this weekend unfortunately, but we have made a partnership with MTLSF to make MAT 7 qualifier the 7th qualifier which we will be streaming. Information regarding MAT 7 can be found here: MTSLF website or SRK Thread
The Last Chance qualifier is also moved to August aswell and will not be held at Anime North. Anime North will consist of a regular tournament with sponsored prizes.
So with this delay on the ES-Circuit, does this mean they ARE switching to Super for the remainder of the circuit? It really seems like a waste of a lot of effort to keep enforcing a dead game all through the summer.
* The 7th qualifier set for May 15th date has been moved to June 4th & 5th
* The 7th qualifier has been moved from Ottawa to Montreal's 7th Annual Tournament ( MAT7)
* AN Gaming will still have a tournament for sponsored prizes (UDON comics & G4 Canada)
* The circuit will change game formats from Street Fighter IV to Super Street Fighter IV
* The last chance qualifier will still proceed the Grand Finale
If what I remember, the next person who hasn’t qualified (i.e. 2nd place) will get it, it will just keep on going, if ESC champs get 1st,2nd,3rd, then 4th place gets the spot.
