Error: 8002A711

I get this on the PS3 now every time I attempt to join a match, meaning online multi-player is no longer possible for me…

I just played Metal Gear Online five seconds ago to test my connection and it worked perfectly.

Anyone else get this error?

Finally get it to work…and it resets my arcade stick configuration…

This happens to me every single time I start the game. After it happens once I can usually start a match, but it will come back intermittently.

I also get this error too and the only solution seems to be restarting the game completely…anyone have any idea why this error happens?

I get a ton of errors, and I’m never quite sure if I should blame: my PS3, my adapter, my internet connection, my service provider, the PSN, the game’s servers, SFHD itself, or some cursed combination of the above interacting unfavourably with each other.

8002A711, along with many other new messages, has been a close acquaintance of mine since November 25th.

I get this error when trying to find a ‘Quick Match’, but I just back out and go to ‘Quick Match’ again and it normally works. I don’t have to restart the game. But that is my experience.

^ This does happen on its own like that sometimes, but you can also get yourself into a situation where it happens every single time almost immediately after telling it to find games. This is the scenario where you should just quit and reopen the game. My rule of thumb is if it happens twice in a row I will restart immediately.

Well u need to log in on your modems ip address on your computer and set your modem (DMZ) to your ps3 and enable your (UPNP) to get the most power out of your modems internet this well help a lot. Using an Ethernet cable on your ps3 is a plus.
