Err... I'm coding a fighting game and I need help

Especially artists for sprite work, portraits, backgrounds, and concept art (for the vs screen).

Here is a work-in-progress version (I started coding 2 months ago), normally my engine will be used with high res characters, but I removed them because the other guy that is working wit me doesn’t want his art to be shown. I don’t want to spent too much time working on non-permanent characters so their animation is off and stuff.

BTW I know it sucks, but I’d appreciate some constructive criticism too…

I couldn’t play. I kept getting an error every time I try to set up my controls.

I hope you guys haven’t forgotten me. Anyway, right now I suggest you unplug one of your joysticks, or use keyboard. Does default joystick work with you, or not? The controls right now have lots of bugs in them.

you’ll probably get more feedback if you post this in the tech forum

I doubt the people in the tech forum know how to code in wxPython or ika…

I use wxwidgets (in C++), and know a little python, but not wxpython, i’m sure there’s some overlap though if you have any questions.

Actually I know wxPython, I’m in the process of doing something else right now but I’ll try to remember to take a look at it after. I’ve got a couple days of holidays left.

I think widgets should be the last thing to do… coding the fight code itself should be priority no 1

So this is in the tech forum now… The original pos asked for artists, which don’t seem to pertain to a tech forum much? The joystick issue was more of a side issue.

I know that some features are more important than others, but you can go crazy trying to fix some of the main problems, and want to breathe. You guys did try out the game though?
