Being a Nassau police officer is like the holy grail for NYC cops. My homies at the force always talks about spending their last 5 years as Nassau police officer. This whole ordeal is just tragic. How you going to kill someone over a god damn cigarettes? Sooner or later NYC police department will flat out go broke due to all these police brutality cases.
How are you going to say something as stupid as “white power”? The statistics do not lie. All of those neighborhoods were deplorable not even 15 years ago. Money was funneled in and the neighborhoods were revamped once hipsters started moving there. Suddenly, crime lowered and new businesses opened in EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Neighborhood groups also formed (I was a part of a few at their inceptions) which led to better community spirit. It’s not even a secret that Bushwick was a no-go zone for whites not even 5-6 years ago. Now it’s the trendiest spot to live with the best new restaurants, more community art and charity programs, and bars. The neighborhood is still a bit Hispanic which I love but before all this went down the best thing you saw in Bushwick was drunk Spanish dudes and groups of minorities waiting to rob you when you left a bar at night.

I was born in the States so I don’t owe the island anything. I live in New York now and give back to my community when I can. I guess that makes me white. kanye shrug
Curious here so humor me, How do you give back to your community?
Aside from shopping at locally owned businesses and being a patron at only local bars? I participate in an art collective and a charity group. I also work with local artists on collaborative projects when my skillset can be used.
So you don’t actively give back you just sit in an office chair?

I’m a pretty negative person in real life, too. I’m just more cheerful about it. A friend dubbed me “Neutron” because I’m always negative about everything and himself “Proton” because he’s always positive. When we were all playing music one friend didn’t know I could play guitar and I replied, “Yeah, but I’m not a real big fan. I just learned it to learn something new.” He went on this tirade on how if I hate music because why bother putting noise in order :lol:

I see the people here I live all the time. Bushwick isn’t that large. I used to help at schools with remodeling, tutoring, and the like but my free time is all but taken up. That and they frown upon someone showing up hung over. I also don’t work with the homeless anymore after San Francisco because those fuckers are unappreciative.
