EO Version Trash?

I have CvS 2 EO for Xbox, and I always have trouble pulling off some of the combos I see in a lot of the tourney and casual vids from some of the upper tier players. I didn’t think about my version of the game until I read this.

Is EO not an arcade perfect version of the game? I thought there were no differences besides roll canceling and damage differences with the top tier characters (namely Sagat)?

Also, would it be better to get the PS2 version (Non EO) and get a stick than just play the XBox version?

Read bottom of first post. EO versions are not arcade perfect. DC & PS2 versions are the ones closest to the arcade version.

Just the fact that there’s no RCs in the EO versions is enough to make them very different from the arcade (eg: several characters play very differently once you remove RCs, the way you have to fight certain characters such as Blanka or Bison totally changes once you remove RCs, etc).

Yes.

FS gamer is pretty much correct. There is one small bonus to EO and that is more competition thanks to net play though that can also be your downfall as often new players playing on EO learn bad online only tactics, or miss out on some siginificant things about fighting teams like A-Are (sakura, Bison, Blanka) because of the lack of RCs. If your not really to serious about being able to kill anyone you come across in this game, then EO should be fine for you. If you want to strive to be the best, just get a ps2 and a stick and find some friends who want to learn too and go for it.

Appreciate the posts guys. Thanks for the info.
