Emulated PS2 games online?

i cant even get pcsx2 to run on my pc…lucky for me i have a soft modded PS2 slim to do all that for me.

ok, so? why post in this thread then?

Arcana Heart 2 runs faster than it’s supposed to on emulator (which is good because it feels like you’re playing on arcade…kinda)

Thats odd. I also have Vista 64, and it wouldnt let me use the DX10 drivers. I’m wanting to get it going on stuff like FF10 that looks beautiful in high-res.

It’s not that quads aren’t supported by it…it’s that it doesn’t utilize more than two cores for optimization.

I can’t get much of anything to run full speed on my desktop, which is fairly spry (Phenom II 940 @ 3.5ghz, Radeon HD 4830, 4 GB ram), in XP. I got FUC to run twice as fast on my laptop (C2D @ 2.26ghz, Geforce 8800GTS, 4GB) in Vista 64 than my desktop did. I need to reinstall Win7 on the desktop and see how things go with it. Othe games tried: NGBC, KOF98UM, AH. Non fighters: Rogue Galaxy, FF12, IIDX 9th-14th styles. I’ve got to be doing something wrong here.

It’s possible, I still think the PS2 emulator isn’t worth it. Maybe later on it’ll get better.

Sigh, I wish I could get pcsx2 to run well on my laptop so I can play some PS2 games when I’m not home. I tried Hokuto no Ken but could only get about 30fps.

Specs are:

c2d 2.5ghz
4gb ram
nVidia 8800m gtx 512mb
Vista 64bit

I’m gonna check to see if I have the latest plugins and whatnot and mess with some of the settings but I’m guessing that my laptop just isn’t beefy enough to handle it.

With that setup you should actually do very well. Did you try other games?

Well, I tried HnK because it was in my PS2. I mostly wanted to use emulator to play some old rpgs that I never got to beat whenever I’m at work.

Anyway, I found my Xenosaga game and, again, about 20 to 30 fps and choppy sound. I’m trying to figure out if I have the latest plugins and stuff

The latest stable plugins should have been in whatever you downloaded from the PCSX2 website. You could be using the wrong plugins though. Also, try using the speedhacks.

Your processor is actually a bit on the low side but you should still be able to run most games well.

Heh, don’t feel bad Gator I’m in the same boat as you…stuck at work with a laptop that USED to be top of the line back in '06 but is now becoming a dinosaur. Thank God it runs the games supported in MAME, 2DF, and FBA flawlessly.

Windows XP Pro
Intel P4 Single core 3.6Ghz
nVidia 7900GTXm
2GB DDR Ram
160GB HDD

Still not too shabby, but I’ll be picking up a new machine hopefully by the end of the year

i saw this thread and thought id give this emulator a try so… i did
it has great potential but this is the best i could get out of it

in kof11 lag occured when fighting and shinobi ran great but look like shit it ran flawlessly if the polygons werent stretched xD its getting there i dont think i personally am i gonna get rid of the ps2 once the dev team tweak most likely i will… i dont think netplay would be good causde of desync the epsxe emulator still have netplay probs usually desyncing alot so thats my 2 cents

Specs:
Intel Quad Core 2.66ghz
Nvidia 8800Gt 512mb
3gb Ram

I been getting this lines in cvs2 http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/4361/ps2sfac.jpg . I try to change the resolution and also put it on native, but I still can’t get those lines to go away, and my computer and graphic cards are the latest in nvidia, but still have that problem, need help.

my graphics config is dx10 hardware, blend bff, and windowed, try using blend bff or tff

I got HnK rom in 10 parts, is it really simple to run games? I hadn’t bothered trying before I thought I would just leave it till I could be bothered to try and work PCSX2.

you can combine all the pieces with HJSplit

Yeah I knew how to do that much lol, it is the like image mounting and stuff I couldn’t be bothered to figure out

Image Mounting didn’t work for me, So I had to burn the game onto disc via PowerIso.

I’m pretty sure pcsx2 can run an iso file as is, without mounting or burning necessary.

Only I know how to load up a CD or something is the CDvdrom setting thing telling it where it is, I don’t know how to load up an Iso without it.
