PS2 emulation is doing really well these days over @ http://pcsx2.net
i can run flawlessly (without any framerate drops or graphical glitches) the following games:
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Capcom vs SNK2
King Of Fighters 2002 Ultimate Match
King Of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match
on a pretty modest computer too: Intel Core2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.74 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 3850, 2 GB RAM
GGAC and Street Fighter Alpha Anthology have some emulation problems currently. i couldn’t get them to run well.
this emulator has savestate support and most of all: it is open source!
since the Naomi emulators development is so stale and closed source (because of ego trips and whatnot)… maybe someone could add support for kaillera p2p module at least.
spread the word please.
make sure you let every damdai’s and Ponder’s out there know about this
I have tried Arcana Heart and KOF XI in it as well, and from what I recall they both work (although AH took a quite a bit of fiddling with settings).
These days I try not to use my real PS2 unless absolutely neccesary since the laser seems to be finally giving up soon… It’s pretty old though so I guess it is to be expected.
I beg to differ. I spent more time with the ps2 emulator and I still couldn’t get it working. I kept getting a black screen wasting cpu cycles. I tried pretty much everything.
Mine runs fine except that I get like black lines like if it was chomping the characters. My specs are intel core quad, 750 Nvidia GForgece graphics card, 4GB of ram, windows vista 64 bit.
