The video serves as an age old media tactic to divert attention from previous matters (the Mileena and Triforce scandal) to more recent shocking news (Mileena being a hypocrite and calling Sanford a “****** with a 10 pound lip”) in an attempt to lessen the credibility of the previous matters. Somehow, since Triforce proves that Mileena lies (Sanford ordeal), he is trying to instill doubt into people’s minds as to whether or not the previous events did in fact take place. He uses Andre “Twisted Jago” Lambert to try to add credibility to his agenda by testifying, although his comments are questionable. The nature in which they are delivered lean towards someone who was put up to saying something they don’t want to, and who would rather have nothing to do with the situation. All in all, it is left up to the viewer.
I grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant and went to school in East New York, people get robbed all the time, myself included.

Not really, the discussion is still about EA. I don’t care if Triforce had sex with Mileena or not and I don’t use Facebook so I didn’t view any of the drama and don’t really know what happened. The first post should emphasize events within the context of the fighting game community and EA. Again, the first post is too ambiguous.
It wasn’t exactly directed at you. Just letting people know shit like that is just NYC trash talk and it can make matches more hype but a lot of people get hurt over words and overall it does hurt the community because most catch feelings easily.

Because not long ago the win was about taking home some money and some pride, maybe talking some shit on the side, and that was it. Now if you’re smart you can make yourself marketable based on your wins, who you played against, and how effective you were. Gamerbee ended up on national TV for beating Justin. Inthul got interviews all over the place for getting a perfect on Sanford at ect2. So did andyocr for putting Justin into losers on the WC.
Using your wins to make yourself marketable is that new school ish and Triforce was one of the originators of the concept even if he could have done more with it.
The only weird part was how reluctant and ashamed andre sounded. It’s like Triforce was holding him hostage and he just wants to gtfo out of there.

he might be a weird guy but… when i was really into gaming a few years back I would have really be interested in doing something like this. Having a place to live where you could just play games, not worry about too much and just be with your friends and practice all the time. It’s not for everyone, but this whole thing is pretty over the top.

It doesn’t take rocket science to realize that if you win tournaments and are good at something, you are in turn potentially marketable. The whole concept comes from a tautological point of view. Of course people are going to do something when they win, that is why they play. Whether it be playing for fun, money, or stardom, people play for different reasons. And when they win, they do things with ‘the win’, whether it be celebrate, use the win for publicity, or just plain sit back and enjoy it. People also do things when they lose, effectively “doing something with the loss.” So I ask again, where is the significance of the statement?
