I haven’t followed this Empire thing close enough recently except to know that lots of people have left. That said, Triforce talking like he’s in an RPG and Empire being super vague about what Empire actually does is nothing new and is probably the biggest issue that a lot of people who aren’t as close to the situation (ie. the overwhelming majority of SRK) have with the whole thing.
So when talk comes out about members being exploited or threatened when they try to leave, it’s not terribly inconsistent with a vague mission statement and I think that makes it a lot more believable, independent of whether or not there’s actually any exploitation going on.
I am not in EMP nor have I been to the ARC. But just think for one second.
You may not call it a company but it is ‘something’. For people who probably can’t get there feet off the ground.

GuyC: I have a gallon of milk. They worked together and rid themselves of there hunger period.
For the people that left the ARC, they probably don’t have much against it, they probably just viewed it as a stepping stone and there is nothing wrong with that.
And as for Triforce stretching the legal arm, that is just about every business. Lots of businesses leach off of others. The best example would be a record label. If your signed and you don’t know what your doing, the record label is going to play you. A college can’t strive if people weren’t in debt after graduating from one. As long as your coning them while they are coning you, you are in good money.
Haha then it looks like you lost this bet guy. I rep Empire every where I go since I joined in 2003. Money I put to help the Empire I have gotten back with either Triforce paying or chipping for my travel fees to tournaments. And when I paid on way to go to Majors like ECC or international tourneys in Canada I’ve got my room paid for for my crew The $yndicate. Furthermore, Triforce got me my own segment that was suppose to air on MTV to showcase betting in the Chinatown Fair arcade and things of that nature
Yes I have given Empire a percentage of my tournament earnings, because that was in the contract that I read and signed. So no I wasn’t taken by surprise when Empire had its hand out, because I gave willing because I know it was for the company itself.

Does the thread starter or people in this thread live in the real world? How is asking people who live in the ARC for FREE and have access to systems and games of all kinds plus internet to help pitch in for the bills so they can keep living like that unjust? Now I don’t work right now but if I did I would GLADY chip in for a place were I can have comp in every major tournament fighter pretty much 24/7. So I ask again how is this unjust especially at the end of the day its for the players?
I tell you what the real problem is with Empire Arcadia, the mind set of the players in it now or formerly in it. They come in joining EMP thinking they are going to get a free hand out and have all their travel fees paid and instant fame, not at all. Empire started from the ground up like any other business. And if any of you who started a business or read the history of other businesses know that in the beginning its going to be hell to get to where you want to go with your business. And most of the players in EMP didn’t understand that or were not willing to work towards that. They just wanted the easy way because they can place top 5. Not I. I knew from jump street what I was getting myself into and I was well aware it was going to be a long road. Now of course I have my own issue with EMP, mainly the fact our boss acts more like a father than a boss thus causing players to act like children. But either way I stick but way I say and do with this company.
And GM, we are cool and all but right now you are looking a like a gossip with cosigning this bullshit thread. You honestly think Empire Arcadia is a pyramid scheme? You can’t be serious. Furthermore, you’re issues with Empire have been settled and you are now part of Evil Genius, congratulations I’m honestly happy for you. But please stop playing the victim here with all this. And if you are going to speak about the situation, YOU speak on from your side, not from a guy who searched “Empire Arcadia” on SRK and wants to play Watergate. Same goes for Arturo with that FB status. I don’t care you guys left, but be professional about and not make it more than what it is.

Not gonna lie the first time i seen all the vids on Youtube and read about the the structure of the Empire(grandmasters an the underlings etc) I was like “is it me or is this some 6th grade “super seekrit club” nonsense” I was waiting for the vid/post when they announced they were gonna build a Castle with a moat containing sharks in NY an that was gonna be headquarters of the royal league of the Empire.

Very interesting stuff Mr.Semi-Auto Demon. I’ve always wondered what the hell went on with EMP. It always seemed a little “shady” to me. @GM Sorry for what has happened in the past and hope things have improved for the better.
Its funny how this thread brings up a…mix of thoughts to say the least. I don’t really care for/about EMP, I like the OP’s stated in the main post and the facts that support it (IE GM) to make everything legitimate. Now what I’d like to know is what kind of legal “power” would Triforce have to actually sue a person let alone the need to do so. Just cause someone wants to have their own mind a free will?

Also LOL at GM being all surprised he was threatened with legal action. That is what you should expect when you violate a written and signed contract. I love GM… but how does that surprise you?
