For HDremix, how does 3/5 rounds 2/3 matches sound?
Matches are extremely quick in HDremix and we fell 3/5 rounds might be best. This aint set in stone, just looking for some feedback.
Its ST. 2/3 rounds. Its not any more quick than it ever was, sir.

Keits: I’m terrible with speed and all, but HDR does seem faster for some reason. Maybe it’s just because I haven’t played ST in a while.
HD speed 3 seems almost identical to US speed 2 for me. Should have a definite answer as to if I’m going or not by this weekend. Old roommate and his friends are going to Chicago and I’d be hitching a ride haha.
Humbag, Personally I am ok with either 2/3 or 3/5. You guys are running it so its your decision in the long run. Just make sure you have enough time to run it. I think the number of entrants that ultimately end up coming will be a factor that you should take into consideration

My weighing in on HDR: i don’t see a need for 3/5. The damage hasn’t gone up in any real way, and the game has always been fast. If it was one match, it would be worth considering.
To be honest, I think the only real reason this is coming up is because online ranked is normally 3/5, and I don’t think that’s any barometer we should be measuring tournament play by

yea lets just keep it to 2/3 rounds since its already set for 2/3 games too and its also double elim. If anything else just to ensure it runs on time.
Now we need to figure out what version to run it on. What are you guys planning? If you run it on PS3 I can bring my PS3 and my PS3 stick but if you run it on Xbox I cant provide anything since I dont have a 360. Personally Im fine with either version but I know theres been a lot of debate as of late about which version is better etc. Personally I dont see a problem with running it on both as long as we have lots of sticks for general tournament use but what do you think?
Yeah 2/3 rounds still sounds best to me as well. So I imagine we would probably stick with that.
What console to use is definately gonna be under consideration.
I have a 360 and no PS3. I have a Hori 360 stick but I also have the pelican adapter for my hrap (use it for PC).
Ill see what the community comes up with in the next few weeks cause I have no problem with either format.
If its on 360, i have a stick. If its on ps3, i need to borrow someone’s adaptor.
What’s the concensus so far on which format to play HDR? I’m finding that most people have 360 but that those that have the PS3 almost demand it be played on PS3. This wont really effect me coming or not, but I’m pretty interested in what everyone else thinks.

if at some point theres an extra TV not being used for whatever reason and we have space, I dont have a problem with you hooking up smash for casuals for a little while, just cuz I know this is a good opportunity to play out of state players and stuff. You can bring your wii just in case. Im not promising anything but it really depends on how things play out
just keep in mind that tournament games will always get priority over casual setups
