Dudley is legendary for a wide array of reasons. We are mesmerized by his speed, power, and dazzling technique. We are in awe of his impeccable style and gentlemanly high class manner. And, of course, we are riveted by his words.
Dudley’s words are a major reason he is such a rich, fascinating, vivid character. I think it’s safe to say that he is the most quotable character in fighting game history.
So what is your favorite Dudley quote? The SFIII series provided us plenty and SSFIV has given us many more. What’s yours?
Defenitely “Fight Like a Gentleman, Live like a Gentleman” is my favorite. Now if we were talking favorite quotes ever, i’d have to say Akuma in 3rd strike “Weakness is a disease, I am the cure” or when dudley offers to buy you a beer after beating you senseless, he’s so considerate/
At least that’s the taunt I’ve become most accustomed too, so it’s weird hearing other things.
Speaking of, The third strike and III quotes are almost non-existent in my vocab now. It’s funny how often i find myself saying “Keep it Classy” or “There’s no need to block against you” then staples like “Gutter trash” and “YHND.”
