I was just warming up, at the start. then we played like 12 matches in a row and they were getting really repeatative. If you block you rekka, dont backdash, just shoryuken the SHIT outta it. Unless i canceled it i have to eat the damage
Are all blocked rekkas and it’s followups punishable?
rekka is safe, 1st follow up is fairly safe, 2nd follow up you can punish for days with whatever the hell you want.
none of them are safe if there is a fast move involved
1st is -3
2nd high is -9
2nd low is -5
and the last one you can do whatever really
so if i had fast moves i’d use them, which akuma and boxer totally do(shoryuken and cr. lp)
rekka is totally not safe lol. If you block the first hit of it with a shoto, SRK guaranteed to land. because it beats out the follow up, and if i dont do the second hit I’m in attack stun for a while.
main point… Block first hit of abel’s rekka -> FREE SRK
(unless of course i cancel it then that’s a whole new mixup :wgrin:)
oh, and if you block the full string of rekka’s you can free raw ultra with most characters
Let me clarify - Romeo (who is a Balrog player) can not punish rekka.

I know its late, but yes he can. If he blocks the first hit, he can ex headbutt through the second one, if its the overhead

Hello everyone.
What do you guys think about $2 session/ranbats every week? The biweeklies will still run seperately, but I’ve been thinking about running a seasonal ranbat combined with a session opportunity. $1 will go to a large pot to be paid out at the end of the season to the player with the highest number of points, and $1 will go to The City for letting us play there.
If you go to every City ranbat and tournament in a month, that’s about $21 out of your pocket. May seem pricey, but if you look at the ranbats as an opportunity to improve, perhaps you can finish in the money eventually :D. Besides, you don’t have to go to every one.
I know you guys are out there (916 lurkers, casuals, etc.) Let me know let me know let me know. I can’t emphasize how important it is for you guys to give me your feedback information.
