Monday: Other MVC3 stuff
Tuesday: SSF4/AH3
Since i’m saving for CEO as well at the moment can’t support the venue as much as i’d like to but I will be going to the tournament on the 21st for Super 4 and AH3 and the other date although far off obviously will be Friday the 3rd of June so i’ll always bring my HD Camcorder down and record stuff for you all. Gonna make a playlist on the NC Matchmaking youtube like just for Elite Zone Fridays. Absolutely loved the venue as I told everyone and so did my crew. Good stuff, can’t wait to come back soon.
This is the NC Youtube by the way, subscribe or put it in your favorites to get the latest stuff. I want to give every game a pretty fair amount of exposure if possible or if there main events going on in a certain games community then getting that on cam will be important (like the 5v5).
yea…i do live in NC and ive played SSF4 on and off at times…i just wanted to find a place to just play and compete…and see who else plays around the area

Well the CRTs arent exactly going to be easy to come by, if anything 2 tvs may be fine, we just have to find a universal remote for the symphonic and look for an RF adapter, which I might have…might. Tom will make a trip to greensboro for the other TV there so, get with Tom because he could use your help going there to grab it.
Also TheDont84 said he’s gonna go to the flea market and pick up an old CRT. So if we get a RF adapter, a universal remote and the CRT from Greensboro that would give us all 4 extra setups making it 8 setups in total. Only thing extra that we would need is 2 power strips so we don’t have to unplug the venues display sets. We can put 1 CRT on each podium then use the 2 TV stands we have and place them next to the podiums and put 1 CRT on each of those. It would make our setups look organized while at the same time being spread out enough so everyone has room and not be in the way of the venue’s equipment.
OMFG I didn’t think that NC has a fight club scene, and I’m from Fayetteville so how this totally got under the radar I don’t even know. Right now I live in Raleigh but I will definitely be there for the tournament. Thanks for providing the info. Actually I take that back, I found a Tekken fight club but unfortunately lost contact with the group since I changed numbers <<" But I do hope to see some of them there.
We ran Tekken last time, about 5 people played it. I’m trying to build interest again somehow. Just gotta get friends of friends I guess. We need it back in our Tournaments after all.
Sup NC?.. I’m off work on 5/27, plan on making a trip to Fayetteville to see my brother and possibly head to the Elite Zone for some AH3/SSFIV casuals. How many people play AH3 in NC and what’s the head count for casuals look like in other games?
I can count the players on my hands I can tell you that much. We technically have about 8-10 players but in reality you’ll only ever see 3-5 at any given gathering so it’s ridiculously rare to see all the Arcana players at once.

You should come on 5/21 instead for the tournament, or at least 5/26 for the session. If 5/27 is your only date then we can set something up for you. You’ll probably see about 5 AH3 players at most but we have unlimited amounts of SSF4 players.

Actually I was going to mention that after thinking hard about it and counting up the players. Do you mind putting T6 as a minor? I don’t mind running the AH3 and T6 tournaments or if someone else wants to run them that’s fine. I’m already bringing my setup for arcana heart 3 so I can bring t6 as well and SeventhFonan can also bring his PS3 + T6. We may just need to borrow 1 tv. What I would plan on is just doing AH3 at 2 and then after that T6. If we have 7 or less people round robin and 8+ is a tournament. The same counts for Arcana as well.
I can definitely count atleast 6 or 7 for T6 but it sounds like we have a bunch of people who like the game and wanna play it but since nobody will give it a chance it doesn’t happen. Of course since we’d be borrowing a tv to run the tournament I just hope that wouldn’t be a problem. Obviously the game can’t pick up again if we don’t feature it and people see it being played. Don’t worry if all this is too much to ask though but you realize the only real guaranteed decent turnouts are SSF4 and MVC3 anyway so I don’t see why it would hurt anything to try running this shit again with the renewed interest it seems to have gotten.
Wow i had know idea people played fight games in Nc at high levels anymore!! Me an a couple of people from lumberton is going to try an make it to this tournament…
