Man this needs dat Roski bump
im def gonna be comin out to these i would like to see MK9 all the other games are great…but im not that great at them lol. and do you gotta be 18 to play?
It said 18 to enter/play but i’m unsure of how serious they are about the rule.
On the record advice - bring a parent/guardian if you’re under 18
Off the record advice - just say you’re 18, we’re not checking your ID’s for the tournament or anything
As for MK I explained my grievances earlier in another post, but like with any game if people show enough interest it will be hosted.
I’ll see you all May 6th with a setup that is going to be dedicated to Arcana Heart 3 and Tekken 6 pretty much just because the CEO 2011 group of people needs some practice with these games.
The MK thing only affects the 360 though. Later it apparently won’t be an issue for that system either since I hear they’ll lump the patches into something you can download, not 100% on that though.
If what everyone says is true and that the patches for MK work offline on the PS3 version then that we should be able to run it without a problem. Need more feedback though, should it be a major or minor game for instance?
This is hard to say because it depends on how NC feels about the game. I think it may be best to have it as a minor unless it’s absolutely obvious it’s going to get a big following but basically my idea is do it as a minor first and see how everyone feels and how many entrants we even get first.
Second. i havent seen much chatter in threads about it…but im down for it :o
bump bump
5 v 5 teams is going to be very exciting.
Let me ask for the 6th. My friend and I did the Rock Band 2 video lag test thing on his monitor which as you know is pretty much the best way to detect if a monitor is laggy and it got 1ms maximum lag on the test that the definitive hdtv thread said to run to check that stuff out.
Is anyone going to have this huge shit fit over 1ms of lag maximum? I honestly don’t think it’s humanly possible to detect a difference between it fluctuating between less than 1ms and 1ms from the game but I have to ask because it would be a waste to package it up and bring it with me if nobody is gonna use it.
If the setup is gonna be for AH3 I don’t think anyone in that specific community would mind.
It’s for T6 that’s why I have to ask if as a human it’s possible to detect 1ms of lag in that game.
Um…CRTs lag at 4 ms. The BEST monitors lag at around 6-8ms. There’s no way any monitor lags at 1 ms. The RB2 guitar test has proven to be inconsistent, and dependent on human variables.
I’m pretty sure that main players that are gonna play T6 are you, your friend, Demo, and Rob. I think it would be good enough and no one would complain. The venue also has a copy of RB so you can test monitor lag there if you want and compare it to the lagless setups to see the difference.
EDIT:
Well I guess RB2 just got put on blast.
Ah wow, I don’t know why it says this “This is the most accurate method at the time of this writing for the average consumer to measure HDTV Game Lag.” in that thread.
I wonder how it’s even possible to test it if the other method suggested is said to be inferior to the rb2 one and I don’t see any new threads suggesting better methods.
Anyway that sounds good then. I wasn’t sure who all played T6 anymore since I always figured it was like this game that people still played but just on their own and if given the opportunity they would play again. @Corner-Trap
Look at the date on that post.
@ Kevin
I think we need to get 4 more CRT’s and 2 power strips. We still have 4 CRT’s but 3 of the other ones don’t work so we need to get rid of those and replace them. The 2 power strips will solve the problem with the outlets. We can place 2 CRT’s on each of the display podiums up front without having to unplug anything. This will give us 8 setups in total plus the extra monitors players usually bring in anyways, but I feel 8 guaranteed setups is a good number.
