Elfuerte Challenge Mode Combo Help

Ok how do i combo s.HP to quesadilla? Is it a link or a cancel? Whats the timing? Should I be using HP, MP, or LP?

After the lk, wait until his leg animation starts comng back to the nuetrel position. Then do your c.mk while buffering into the super.

Good luck

Finally got Elf’s hard trial 5. It took a couple of days with 2 hour sessions each. After I finally got it, I was able to do it consistantly afterwards. That trial is all about rythm mang.

Now, on to Abel’s hard trial 5 and Viper’s 3, 4, 5 hard trials and I’m done with this nightmare!

I don’t know but I had the best luck on hard #4. I got it on my second try. I can’t believe it. I had the game a while back before my ps3 disk drive broke. I finally got to it today and I somehow was successful. I wasn’t so lucky on the 5th… I still cant get the spacing between the punches. I’ve got it down though.

Stick with it man! On the last RSF, let him run a little but more to cover the gap so he can hit Dan.

Took about 2 hours to complete all of his trials. I’d say the hardest one was the butt flip, lk, cr. mk, super.

It also felt really good to find the rhythm for Hard Trial LVL 5. It takes a while for your brain to process, but when you get it… well you got it.

^^^^^^

Yeah, trial 4 is definitely the hardest. Trial 5 is all about rythm.

anyone got some tips on hard trial 3? ;x

Time HardTrial3 visually, not just audially. That’s my advice.

what am i doing wrong with rsf if im gettin fajita buster 80% of the time and far fierce the other 20 on the third hit?

You’re not hitting jab in time, go to the RSF thread.

Don’t worry this happens to everyone and it takes forever to get the timing correctly

i finally did it
tried yesterday for half an hour, got nowhere
brought my friend over for some sf4, gave trial #4 a few tries when he was here, and i did it on my 6th try today yay!
but now trial #5 will take me even longer i bet haha

F*** You CAPCOM, El Fuerte Icons are mines, 1 left for Gen and 3 left for Viper. If anyone is having problems with the RSF, you could try and use the negative edge but the timing is still the same.

Anybody know why I my input display reads:

:hp:
:lp:
:r::lp:
:df:
:d:

and I get Gut Buster instead of Run, Stop, Fierce?

I mean it looks goddamn perfect, but apparently it’s wrong half the time.

All I can think is that if I’m canceling a previous Fierce, the QCF is too early so the first Jab gets discarded; in which case I have reason #324 to punch Ono in the nuts.

I’ve yet to complete Hard #5. I’m going to do it. I’ll eventually learn the RSF on a PS controller. Just you watch.

Man, this blows. I’m currently stuck on that stupid Hard #4. I can do all but one thing in that combo: that freaking Heavy super. No, I CAN do it, but I’m not doing it FAST enough. Mind you, I’m using a PS3 controller here, the most comfortable for me. I can pull off the rolling motions of the super fast, but even with it, it’s not fast enough. I’m a digital pad user, so I attempted the combo with the very sensitive joystick, which I really hate. My thumb isn’t that potent at handling it like you would a handheld stick, so the speed was about the same.

In short, buffering the motion from crouching med kick to super is hell. And a lot of times, I just end up doing a Guacamole because I didn’t put enough buffering into it to get out a super. So am I right to assume this is a speed issue or am I buffering this wrong?

Let’s analyze this: first I :d: :mk: after the lk.

Alright. Exactly as that kick hits, the motion for the super should already be entered, so from that down command, I should already be doing :qcf: x 2 and hitting :hk: RIGHT when the :mk: ends. For those who know about buffering :qcf: , you understand that the easiest way to do it, both on pad and on joystick, is to grind the lower right edge of the directional device (or opposite if you’re standing to the right). But because this grinding mimics :dp: pretty easily, you can fluke into a Guacomole instead of a super. Logic says just to return to the :d: direction after the first QCF is entered to lessen this, but any fighter knows buffering is the only way to catch the frames in time and do a millisecond combo like El Fuerte’s.

I guess this is the double edged sword of playing El Fuerte: he has competent combos, but because they are as fast as he is, the learning curve for him is steep in mastering. He is by the far the most timing strict character in the game due to those fast pokes of his. Balrog is second with Sakura following behind in third, though I think she ties with Rose in that respect. I could be wrong.

you gotta buffer the first qcf from the super in the st.lk and the second in the crouching mk, then you just cancel the cr.mk into super.

i just revisited the hard trials and came to this “solution”.

when you jump in with roundhouse theres soo much hit stun that you can actually walk forward a little bit then start jabbing. This helps because if you dont do it your usuallly too far away after all the lk for the mk to hit. Other than that just get the timing down and plink the cr mk and you will be fine.

Well, never played Fuerte but I decided to try his trials. It took me 5 hours to beat hard trial 4, then I did RSF on the first try.

Feels WONDERFUL

Trial #24

Question regarding his last trial(#24)

I have no problems doing *2X Hard Punch, but I can’t seem to get the 3rd one. Am I not hitting LP to stop? cause I seem to be…

  • Just running(not stopping)
  • My run not coming out
  • Or my HP throw command(after the run)

What am I doing wrong? is it the timing? is it stricter on the 3rd? or am I just messing up and can’t tell?
