Backthrow > 1.5 steps forward jump> 4 frame safejump.
I’m not sure if it makes it harder or not. I was looking to see if she had anything in terms of safe jumps. Like I said though the stuff I tried seemed rather inconsistent.
Some of the things I tried was nj.HK after her sweep or dj. HK after sweep (distance and such). Then I tried walk forward dj.mk after hk. LT seemed pretty good would even cross up and make some reversals whiff (guile flash kick) but would loss to something like yang a lk dp. Tried some stuff after throw but didn’t really get anything.
I’m not getting what you’re getting. Are you just doing empty jump forward or is there a jump in attack?
Testing the safe jump further I’ve gotten it to work. It seems distance specific. But here’s what I’ve found. Cr. Lp cr . Mp xx hk lt. Micro step jump forward mk. Safe vs 4 frame dp tested vs young ex up kicks saga Elena ex SW and guile flash kick. The only problem is the jump mk whiffs. So if they do nothing you’re screwed I’m going to keep trying to see what I can find.
Also get awkward rresults if I use 2 cr. Lp that’s why I only did one and to make sure the opponent wouldn’t be too far on the hk lt.
It’s like a step forward about the same as Juri’s backthrow and then jump forward attack. If you do an empty jump, then it’s safe from everything because you cancel your landing frames into your blocking animation.
Ah I see I think I get it. Thanks for sharing I’m a bit surprised you’re putting in work with her despite how you feel about the character.
Also on the hk lt safe jump set up if you use LK instead of mk you can hit the opponent. It took me a while to realize this but if you don’t get all four hits of hk lt the set up won’t work.
Also found out cr lp X2 cr.mp hk lt hits crouching chun but doesn’t hit standing chun.
Lol just because I hate how she turned out doesn’t mean I won’t contribute anything I randomly find while I play her for a few minutes here and there.

Anyone have a good source of japanese Elena footage from arcades or anything? Would love to see some Akimo or Puritto Bean matches. Really enjoyed watching the Kazunoko footage from before the Decapre update. I feel like my Elena is a little stale, I’d like to see some footage of the top players.
Wish I could have gotten some more games in with KitL19 and Almostlegendary, but my PS3 kept freezing/locking up. Hasn’t done that before… think it was overheating, not good. Hopefully won’t do it again or I’ll have to crack it open and see what’s up.

My first freeze happened when my point blank cr.lp whiffed Ibuki point blank. The game was like…no…I need a moment to think about this one.
That was both fun and infuriating; watching the second hit of Spin Scythe just whiff was horrible. Then the other person would try to punish with the same thing… and it just cycled until someone backed off. GGs though.

Haha, yeah every time I did it I would get pissed at myself and tell myself to use the dp ender, but 5 seconds later I would just whiff another spin scythe. Dunno why I can’t get that message through to my fingers, need more practice I guess.
Don’t really agree with it. There’s a lot that I don’t know. But I can’t see Dudley being that low or Elena being better than him.
I found a safe jump off forward throw for Elena. Manually timed. Wait til character’s body is flat on floor then jump forward. Not too hard after a little practice.
Also have an OS. In an earlier thread I posted, sucks since she doesn’t have any chainable normals to keep pressure, but at least you have a high damage options for people who get too antsy.
Man, wouldn’t it be hilarious if Dudley was actually worse than Elena, and Chun Li was in the same tier as Elena? Those were my first picks to replace Elena if I decided to just give up.
I really hope that tier list is incorrect by a lot. Literally none of the characters above the Mason Dixon line appeal to me in any way.
