Tha Fix has bi-weekly tournaments IIRC. If not, then monthly, but I’m pretty sure they happen quite often.

There is no tourney happening, none that I know of anyways.
DID: I’m going to Dallas for school. Still waiting to see if my FAFSA will be ready in time for the spring semester (which looks like it won’t happen) but if it does’nt happen, then I’ll be staying till about Febuary. But it’s still up in the air.
Jive, the only 3rd Strike machine in El Paso is at the local university game room (Which is currently closed for winter break). But the sticks are mediocore, and the buttons are slanted. Everyone just plays at home pretty much.

sorry guys i’ve been sick for a week, stupid stomach linning has me hallucinating and shit, anyways i get so sick i just can’t do anything even answer the phone, i went to the hospital and got some medication but it knocked me out pretty good till like 3:00 a.m yesterday so sucks to be me hope you all got some good practice anyways todo max keeps calling too is he in town or what, howd it go last night who got owned, who owned i’d like to know i’ll be good to go today can’t guarantee thursday so if anyone wants to play give me a ring at 694-8169 LaTES…

cvs2 is hard, rc, non stop k groove level 3, a groove start up the game slows down at points. but boring hell no, cvs2 owns for free…
Only Combofiend can make CvS2 look enjoyable.

the hate doesn’t matter all the real player no whats up 50 charcters, teams of 3, 6 grooves(stop complaining), 6 buttons, except for the roll it’s pretty much next evolution of st, combofiend, eddie lee, david hem all go mid tear, no one touch death combos, and it’s somewhat realistic in powerranking imo, atleast the tuff people are tuff in the game, its not lets all use sol cause he has an uppercut or eddie cause he can lock you down completely, yun cause we can activate 5 random supers around, imo all the games are good even cfj i don’t get mad at a game cause i can’t win at it. random hate on haters over…
rc anyone? j/k i can care less bout cvs2 i believe that playing cvs2 is fun, but at a competitive level its just wash, rinse, repeat. then again i suck at all fighting games so i cant really say much lol

i’ll just say blah blah sagat fierce, blah blah a groove bison/sakura, blah blah cvs2 dieing down.
heh just messing with ya fern. the thing is with cvs2 is that i personally dont think there is much more to learn about the game. we know whats punishable and we know that to play top tier that you have to know how to rc. 3s is still evolving, and people who play the game evolve with it. a while ago, it was all ken, then all chun, then makoto got up in the mix somewhere with people arguing about her 50/50 opertunities, and now we are at the yun stage. yuns super is very easy to combo into, as well as adapting mid-screen/corner to get the most damage. however using him on the technical side and using block strings and knowing when to block yourself takes more time and skill. people are starting to learn that aspect of yuns game now.
btw, we cant really compare GG to CVS2/3S/MVC2 cause of how completely different it is to the top 3 capcom games. its still very good and widely played (more so in japan than here obviously).
everyone has thier own favorite game that they play. a lot of us can play multiple ones too. just cause we can play it doesnt mean we praise it
