Ok if you want something simple go for something like this
Has Dual Core processor long battery life 512 megs of memory 80 gig harddrive.
Simple machine nothing fancy. Good Processor so you wont have to buy a new computer anytime soon. All you’ll need is a memory upgrade down the line.
Also if you do decide to buy from Best buy GET the Performance Service Plan. That thing is so fucking good as to what it does for ya. Although it does tack on about an aditional 300 bucks or so.
Basically what you wanna look for is
Dual Core processor: AMD has Turion64 X2
Intel has Centrino Duo
Memory: Atleast 512 megs although 1024 or a gig would be preferable
Hard Drive: 80+ should be more than enough.
Avoid Celeron M processors or Sempron Mobile those fuckers suck. If you buy brand name these are the ranks to the best of my knowledge.
If you want something that will play games for whatever reason Get something that has Dedicated Video Memory. Wether it be ATI or Nvidia it doesnt matter just make sure it’s dedicated.
