I’m leaving to go to LAX in about an hour to head down there. I wrote the number down, but i don’t know if i will have time now nor the tansportation to get there. If i do call, someone will have to pick me up, but i have a funny feeling i’m going to be spending the majority of the time searching for a place to live and a job. i know i’m gonna live up on the west side btw.
anyways, i’m gonna head down again in mid august (10-14) and the final move will be sept 1.
how important is speaking spanish down there? also, i’m pasty white… am i gonna burn? lol
i play 3s, MVC2, CVS2 in that order. i play MM (proj), cammy (aa), capcom (aa). this is a scrub killer and anti-rush down team. you wont see anyone else turtle so much in marvel lol.
i’m down to play anything whenever though.

Hey, just tell me what you guys want to plan. Sorry about the lack of posts. If I can get 4 or five guys to go, I’d be surprised, but I’ll see what I can do. I posted over on x-topia, and Stoic Steve did too. If you guys want us to come down, what do you want to do. People here seem up for MvC2, SC2, and Tekken 5. I’m not too good at the later two (especially SC2), but I’ll bring any game I’ve got. The MvC showing looks to just be me… but I’m not surprised considering you handed people their asses up here at the last x-topia. I’ll post in the ABQ forums today. Alright, I have someone interested in GGXX, is that something that anyone could bring some competition for? In general, what games would people want to be playing?
I have people that have to be back on saturday night (which I assume was the plan anyway, since we weren’t suggesting to crash at anyones place or a cheap motel. However, if some people want to stay an extra day, would people still want to play, or would people be able to house us? Don’t worry about this too much though, it was just a passing question.\
Oh, do we need to bring any equipment or games??? I have a copy of 3S for the Dreamcast I believe… other than that, I have nothing special. Some X-arcade sticks, but they have competition sticks in them cause I haven’t had a chance to order P360s yet. How are the cabs for any of the games you guys are interested in playing?

I play SC2, and I suck. I get beat BAD at the Xtopia tournies by out of state guys. SA Rob handed my ass to me at my first tourney, lol. =(
I think we’ve got everything covered. El Paso is pretty good at CVS2 and 3s, and MVC2 is still the one game we all play. I don’t know about Tekken, though. Can Jeremy play on Sat.?

I remember Jeremy saying we could use a tourney pot for food and drinks…that sounds good, but we’d have to vote for it, I would think.

Alright, sounds good. I’ll bring a copy of #R for Xbox and maybe a copy of XX for PS2, just in case. I’ll bring my sticks… I don’t know if anyone else has sticks here or what. I don’t know the numbers yet. It looks like three people have kind of confirmed so far. Two from the ABQ forum… and one or two from x-topia. Maybe that number will increase by tomorrow for sat. I’ll post on X-topia and let them know what’s up and try to get confirmations.
P.S. Someone PM me some contact info so that I know where to go, or who to contact, and so that I can tell other people where to go.

Who’s down to play on Saturday??? I need to know, so I can prepare brackets. I have some nice pre-made ones that I’d like to use, but I’d like to get a good estimate of who’s showing up.
Ok, I’m going to go through names: Me, DJ, Andy, Adam, ETHOS, Nate, Cesar, Lando, Mike, Fernie, Abe, Marcus, Pablo, DM, Luis, George, and anyone I’m forgetting. That’s like 15 people, and I can round up people from Tilt and maybe Brady for more 3D players. That’s at least 20 people. But…if we get like 12 or so, that’d be alright, not counting the ABQ guys yet, that is.
I cant make it either. I have a meeting at 7:30 on saturday. Are you down some other time though?. My gaming skills have improved a little in 3S and GGXX. MvC2 is still good with a good stick, unlike that tekken crap we used last time at Mike’s. Let’s see if we can get together some other time
Is there gonna be an entry fee, and do you guys want to do prizes? To be honest at this point it sounds like I’m the only one confirmed anymore to be going. Derez over in the ABQ forum said that he isn’t going cause he can’t afford it (I mean, if I got 4 or five guys in a car it would only be like $15 not including tournament fees). I’ll feel bad if it’s just me, but not too much I can do. If we can make this a more regular thing than I’m sure I can get a good # of people to come in the future. The guys over on x-topia seem interested, but their going back and forth, mainly because they are mostly interested in SC2 and T5 (and you guys seem to be more hardcore 2D). It still possible that I can pull some of them, but nothing definite yet. Even so it looks like at most it will be anywhere between guy (me) and four or five at most. So as for a tourney fee, I don’t really care… if you guys want to play some straight up money games for MvC2 though, I’d be down for that.
