I’ll try, the only way this is gonna work is if they havent charged it yet to my dads credit card, otherwise if I cancel and the credit card has been charged, then well basically I get a 35$ deduction from my order leaving me with 35$ (because I also bought that 3’rd party controller converter for the xbox) so I’d need 65$ to get that tekken stick 5 stick and the converter(because I dun have ps2) and pay for shipping, lets hope they havent charged it yet, otherwise I think then I’m stuck with it.

Dont worry about the stick. Just get it, play it and get used to it while you save up the cash to buy a new one from one of the guys who makes sticks here (Dreaded Fist and Finkle look like they really know their shit), or the QCF site. Besides, if all else fails you can easily replace the parts over time. One month replace the stick, next month new sanwa/Seimitsu buttons, and so on. Though, the parts separately are stupid cheap you can more than likely get all the shit you wanna mod in one purchase, barring a P360 whichll run you damn near $50 by its self (I really want onedamn being poor sucks).

But Ive never played on the one youve got, so Im no authority on itbut I dont think itll be half as bad as people are saying. The only thing thatll take time getting used to is the eight way, and Ive see few probs with those when playing 2d fighters. Just gotta get used to it.

PS: Even if that stick sucks major ass, itll be better than a pad, guaranteed :tup:

Welp, looks like all should go well they didnt charge it (in fact they said on the accnt that they werent gonna charge it for like another week.)and so I sent them an enquiry asking them to delete the hori and add the tekken 5 stick, phew! lol. I should get an email from them in within 24 hours.

Ok, if you want a decent stick but don’t want to go the custom route (Byrdo’s or Dreaded Fist’s sticks), you’re probably going to want to mod whatever you get. You could get a MAS and they’re nice, but eh, a bit too pricey IMO. Me and DJ built our sticks for around $70 with converters, I think.

The HORI stick Jeremy’s talking about did feel really nice, but I prefer bat tops on the stick. =\

That’s $40, but I don’t know about the soldering. It may be SHIT like when we bought RO sticks, therefore requiring you or someone else to re-solder stuff. =( I don’t recommend the RO stick. Modding plus a converter makes the cost too high.

Ebay has great prices on HAPP parts, also.

I say buy something that won’t requre modding, like the HORI Pro. =)

P.S. You don’t need a P360. I love them, but damn, they cost too much. =( 8-ways are fine.

well, i’m flying down this thursday (staying until monday morning) with my family to check it out and get an apartment for me and my bro. i will have some free time while i’m down there. i guess i could start by checking out the local arcade (i hope u guys have one lol). if so, could u list the address so i can mapquest it? play 3s mostly.

Registration is now open at http://www.tekzonegaming.com/lan until July 15th at 12PM for $15/event with the exception of the fun contests. The registration entry fee will be increased to $20 after that and at the door. I can take paypal payments and am available to meet for local payments. The key here is registration, since I am limiting the number of teams/people per event you need to be registered to compete. If I see a need to open more slots then I will.

Still looking for more input on some more fun events, there was a head shaving scheduled for the last SWAG event but it didnt happen so that may be a possibility.

Nina Williams

  • u/f+1 can not be used in longer juggles now, the speed of the move has been decreased.
  • u/f+1 is also techable when used in juggles.
  • d,d/b+3 is no longer safe
  • JF spider knee with Nina is no longer safe.
  • d/f+1,2 has delay on both hit and block.
    UPDATE
  • Not many people were playing her so not that much is known, but u/f+1 execution is definately slower.

Steve Fox

  • d/f+2 does not launch.
  • Infinites are gone.
  • CH ALB 2 does not stun.
  • b+1~B FLK b_f+2 is gone.
  • CH 1,2,1,2, and 2,1,2 no longer launch.
  • 1,2,1 and 2,1 into FLK~ALB is gone.
  • Juggles after d/f+1+2 hits close are no longer possible.
    UPDATE
  • He seems like a normal character now, compared to others his was one of the most drastic.
  • d/f+2 launches on CH only now.
  • d/f+1+2, d/f+1+2 combo is impossible.
  • b+1 CH into stun still exists.
  • 1,2,1~B into ALB can not be done.
  • FLK jab into ALB still exists so he can still do many of his combos.
  • Next to wall if ALB 2 connects the 1,2,3~4 is toned down???
  • The properties of the double ALB low punch seems unchanged. No juggles will connect by walls.
  • It seems as juggles after d/f+2,2 don’t connect anymore.
  • Overall he has been toned down but people that played him still feel he is very strong.

Bryan Fury

  • b+1 does not launch on normal hit.
  • CH WS+3 stun can not be escaped.
    +/- 1+3+4 taunt and f,b+2 punch remain the same.
  • f,f+2 has more delay.
  • 1,2,4 has more delay.
  • <wall> 1,2,1, d/f+3 catch no longer works.
    UPDATE
  • b+1 on normal hit forces crouch status on the opponent, does not juggle.
  • WS+3 on CH can not be escaped, you can not launch them however. Standard combos do work, and can do up to 40% damage. Very strong.

Devil Jin

  • TGF used in juggles can now be linked to TGF~U/F for the extra move like when TGF~U/F hits standing opponents.
  • Devil Jin seems to be the best as of now. Not that many changes.
    UPDATE
  • TGF~U damage seems toned down. It does not allow good oki. Just a nice combo to end the round with.
  • b+1 seems unchanged. You can still interrupt the extensions with low jabs if they try to continue with options.
    ? 1+4,2, d+1, WS+1,2 switch still exists.
  • His combos seemed unchanged, including wall combos.
    ? The only change was in his d/f+2 options.
  • d/f+2,1 only launches on CH.
  • d/f+2,2 trips on CH allowing juggles.

Feng Wei

  • b+1 is now -10 on block.
  • SS+4 has more delays on block.
  • qcf+3_WS+3 has more delays on block.
  • d/b+3 on CH no longer trips.
  • d/b+1+2,1 has more delays between the two hits.
    UPDATE
  • Of all characters he seems to be hurt the most according to Zekusu.
  • SS+4 block stagger gaurantees pretty much anything for the opponent.
  • b+1 on block is -10 but it does push back a bit more.
  • The d+4 stomp in juggles has been weakened. Opponents recover much quicker when this is used on the ground or in juggles.

King the 2nd

  • f+4 on normal hit can cause wall stun. On CH causes opponent to fall down. Free ali kick after CH push back.
  • Tombstone throw(d/b,f+2) now recovers faster and gaurantees a free ali kick when it connects.

Yoshimitsu

  • 4~3 has less delays on block.
  • after f+3+4 hits, d/b+3 is no longer gauranteed.

Lei Wulong

  • f,f+2 has less delays on block.
  • f,f+4 on hit gaurantees the 3+4 followup.
  • No more auto parry in TGR stance.

Ling Xiaoyu

  • From RND punch parry, damage has been increased and now juggles.
  • RND 1 makes opponent fall.

Kazuya Mishima

  • After CH d/f+2 no more full EWGF launch but you can still do regular juggles.
    +/- WS+2 stun can not be escaped, but the stun effect is that of CH d/f+2.
  • d/b+3 has less delay on block and knocks down on CH.
  • d/b+3 acts much like 5.0 Feng’s d/b+3. On CH dash up d+4 stomp seems gauranteed.
    +/- WS+2 into TGF is a difficult juggle.
  • CH d/f+2 into EWGF launch is still possible.

Kuma/Panda

  • f+1+2 on block has less delays.
  • f,f+2 is completely safe.

Wang Jinrey

  • d+4,1 has more delay on block.
  • 1,1,1 is worse on block than before(doesn’t push back as far).
  • d/f+1+3+4 on block puts Wang at disadvantage.

Hwoarang

  • d/b+4 has more delay on hit.

Marshall Law

  • CH qcf+1,2,1,2 does not launch anymore.
  • CH d/b+3 does not juggle anymore.
  • b+1,2,1 does not launch anymore unless CH. b+1,2 is natural combo on normal hit however.
  • U/F+4 is -14 on block now. No longer safe.
  • DSS 1 now causes crumple stun.
    UPDATE
  • on CH b+1,2,1 connects but knocks back.
  • His wall combos seem unchanged.
  • He seems to be one of the higher tier characters.

Craig Marduk

  • d+1 does not have as much advantage on hit/block anymore.
  • d+4 is -3 on hit.

Jack-5

  • u/f+1+2 = d,D/F+2 link throw escape glitch is gone. No more universal easy escape.
  • d/b+2 crushes high moves easier now.

Jin Kazama

  • d/f+3 on CH stuns and d+3+4 will full launch afterwards.
  • Nothing gauranteed after 2,4 anymore.
    UPDATE
  • 2,4 as mentioned in the Arcadia magazine, has no more followups. Other than that change and others listed there is nothing new.

Heihachi Mishima

  • 2,2,1 does not connect like it does now.
  • f+1+2 damage increased
    UPDATE
  • He feels ‘top tier’ according to Zekusu.
  • 2,2~1 is gone completely. There is no 2,2~1 move anymore.
  • b,f+2,2,1 is the same.
  • was unable to connect FC d/f+4, into hellsweeps combo.

Asuka Kazama

  • After f+2~d cancel you can input an extra move 3+4.
  • f+3 on block is even on frames.
  • d/b+4 crouching status after move is performed has changed. Not as safe as it used to be.

Baek Doo San
+/- Punch Parry window is larger but you get less advantage from a successful parry.

  • CH b,b+2 causes an unescapable stun.

Christie Montiero

  • d/f+1,1 has worse recovery on block. -4.
    +/- b+4 knocks down and can not be tech rolled after side/back hit.
  • 1:3~4 is gone.
  • d/b+1+2 crouching status is gone, recovery is worse.

Julia Chang

  • Recover on standing 4 has been increased making CH 4, into f,f+1 juggles easier.
  • d/f+3 damage has increased.
    UPDATE
  • f+3~1 on hit has changed. The effect that knocks them to the ground and oki has changed.

Roger Jr.

  • f+1,2,1,2 if the first hit is CH, the opponent is air juggled on the 4th hit. No more free followup from a stun.
  • f,f+2 on gaurd pushes back further, making it safer/harder to punish.
  • d/b+3 is more punishable on block. -16.
  • d/f+1,2 is easier to connect as natural combo(no more whiffing if first hits on max distance).
  • d/b,f+2 tombstone throw into ali kick is no longer gauranteed.

Lee Chaolan

  • d+3 knocks down on CH. Afterwards FC d/f+4 is gauranteed as is HMS 4 if you use d+3~HMS.

Anna Williams

  • WS+1,2 and d/f+1,2 have worse recovery on hit and block.
  • WS+1,2,3 and d/f+1,2,3 knocks back on gaurd and knocks down opponent on hit.
  • u/f+1,3 is more punishable on block and worse recovery on normal hit.
  • d/b+4,3 can be delayed.

Bruce Irvin

  • d/b+4 on CH gives crumple stun and juggle followup.
  • d+3,4 not counterable on hit now.
  • SS+3 knocks down on normal hit.

Paul Phoenix

  • qcf+1+2 and FC, d/f+1+2 cancels now have crouching status.
  • f,f+2:1 second hit can no longer be ducked.
  • d+4,2:1+2 is like T4 again. Difficulty has been changed to T4 timing as well.
    UPDATE
  • f,f+2:1 is unchanged. You can still duck the second hit. He feels unchanged.

Ganryu

  • d/f+2 is still safe, other than that no new changes noted.
